The owner is a wealthy businessman who made his money from a couple of interesting inventions that you use almost every day. He also has a beautiful new sportfish here in Ft. Lauderdale.
Actually he is Originally a Detroit business man who moved to Ft Lauderdale. His fortune was made as a supplier in Automotive Air Conditioning components to major automotive companies. He sold his company 10 years ago and built this Feadship from a portion of his money earned from the sale of his company. It was named after his wife who had the nick name of Lady Columbo because she would always catch him when he did something without telling her. Hence the reason for the name of his previous yacht. He also owned Columbo yacht company and built 3 of the 80+ ft high speed yachts, one of which was purchased by his best friend Dave Thomas when he was still alive. (Wendys fame)
