    I put a small Bruce with 50’ of chain on the 26’ gaffer i built and its held us solid in a couple of squalls over the years.

    Well, the FDA says a refrigerator will only safely keep food for 4 hours without power and that's if it's not opened in that time. A freezer, unopened, will keep for 24 hours.

    Well, after the hurricane (I keep my refrigerator at 35-36F), 24 hours later the food in my refrigerator was 38-39F and that included opening the door a few times. If the refrigerator is fairly full, and everything is at proper temperature, with the door shut, 8 hours should be NO issue at all......even 12-24 hours.
