I think it would be good to start a thread for the "Star Fish" which is now about or under eighteen months from completion. If you thought "Big Fish" was radical, Star Fish will really be a cut above her especially as it relates to the outdoor spaces.
What's that for a ground where normaly lays teak ? But all in all intersting yacht ,very cool with the big outdoor spaces... Hopefully she will own a similar tender like Big Fish ,I love that tender.
Specially prepared Granite! If you read our review on the "Big Fish" that would be apparent to you http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/aquos-yacht/14775-review-aquos-yachts-147-expedition-big-fish.html There's a quote from the details section of the review...
If things are really on track, she should be launched maybe in even or eight months? as she was slated to be launched at the end of 2011 and completed in 2012. As you know the "Star Fish" is going to be bigger than the "Big Fish" by about 5-meters or so. This will allow for a sixth stateroom as well as space to carry a small submarine or even a seaplane and other extra capacity.
Yes, part of the stern platform will slide out to extend the platform to become extra space for outdoor furniture or to be used as a dock for the toys etc. When this happens it reveals a cavitywhich can become a pool, I believe filled by the ocean around.
I'm not fully certain how they will do it...we will wait and see or someone else can shed some details.
"Star Fish", well the remains there-of, is for sale now... It is really sad considering this boat was nearly 80% completed at the time of the fire and would have been ready for March 2013.
