As for show, i must have been out of wack after a long day of work, for some reason i thought it was a tv show :p even googled for it but couldnt find anything hehehe hence my stupid question...

Looks like I need my own dock space for these Westports.

Two needed attention before the show the other is for the client.

It's also possible to build a cool yacht model with LEGO bricks.

This one has nice details like a tender garage and sliding doors

    New model

    Hey, nice models!
We also have a new model "launch"...a new 72' from West Bay SonShip here in BC Canada...
I'm hoping our .90 dollar is helping to revitalize our yacht building industry here!
This model is built at 1/2"=1' scale so she's about 3' long.
They will be unveiling it at the Vancouver boat show this week.
A few more photos have been uploaded to our website.

Can anyone recommend a good model maker?

I commissioned a model of our 46' Chris Craft Roamer from SD Model Makers. I finally terminated the project after many problems (and I lost almost half of my deposit money).

As an aside, I would highly recommend NOT using SD. I have pictures and emails detailing the problems if anyone would like more background info.

    :eek:Sorry to hear.
I'd like to know what went wrong.
    Could you pm me?
I don't know SD but they do a lot of advertising.

We're working on a couple of Ocean Alexander models now for the Ft. Lauderdale boat show.

It's been way too long since I posted anything here :(
We had built this model a while back but agreed to keep it "under our hat" until after the fall boat shows. This is a 1:40 scale model of Ocean Alexander's 70' to be built at their new Merritt Isl. facility in the US. The model is on the small side at 52cm / 20" long but is at same scale as their 112' and 120' models we have built for them in the past so may be displayed side by side for comparison. This model features laser cut and engraved wood decking, soldered and chromed railings, black acrylic glazing, twin IPS drives, Williams tender, simulated stone and wood counter tops finished off with mirrored base and clear case. We are building two more of these plus another 112' models for them.
