I have worked on a few Great Harbour boats.
    Good canal barges.
    Made in Florida.
Made a few bux working on them.
That makes the only nice things I can say about them.

I do thank you for your thoughts

What about the older-new Huckins 40 or 44?

Betsy, a 50' RPH is back in Jax and available.

Think I'll be in Jax this week to look her over.

As you can see, she does not have the usual looks of a Huckins,, That does help a lot.
Lots of checks from my list.
BTY, any of you ole pharts remember a new (1985) Huckins with 4 SeaDrives (out boards) on the transom?? This was her..

At least, I have something to point out as an example.

    Walked aweigh?

A bit cryptic there Cap, anchors are aweigh, hopefully, but not buyers or handrails.
You drove to Jax, inspected the Huckins then you walked aweigh?
    Pics or it didn’t happen.

A few of my boats were named Carried Aweigh, one still is.
One of my A P's still transmits Carried Aweigh.
After all these years (20), You finally picked up on my hick, always typed aweigh.

Now, word lesson; My definition of aweigh, Clear of, not attached or fastened to, not under restraint.
Yes, it still works for me.

    A line from my letter to the broker;
I have delt with cold spaghetti firmer than the hand rails. I know there is no firm deck under any stanchion.
There were other observations and comments in that note.
Up front the broker was honest with me and warned me there were issues in previous emails. I just wanted to look her over my self.
She seemed to be a fine boat just a few years ago.
Well it has been longer than that. Her trip to Maine was documented on YF, somewhere.

No pictures?? Naw, I need nothing to remember this by.
    I was pretty bummed.

They were great puppies with big hearts. There were two kats that helped on the dock also.
I miss them all very much.

I was just thinking (hate it when that happens).
That 28 Trophy could be a good micro pilot house / all weather boat, as it was then.
I have not noticed one on the market for a very long time.

Well, since you are looking at 28’s, my old Albin 28TE, which I sold October 2022 is up for sale again.
The new owner had a change of heart as his dog is too old, for the liveaboard lifestyle.
When I sold the Albin it was in great shape with everything working and Stidd seats and all.
Yanmar 6LP-STE with about 1,500-1,600 hours now, bow thruster, autopilot, air condition, new batteries, new fridge, solar panel, 8 new portholes, Navtex, new Garmin 1042 plotter, etc, etc.
Not sure what he is asking but send me PM if interested. IMG_6936.jpeg
