Sometimes you gotta pay to play, I guess?
Blown, bored, stroked ... all this craziness to go fast for short periods of time.

Oh good, you can be relied on for more snark.

You weren't trying to understand anything, you were trying to find a way to pontificate. You still are.

I, for one, am wholly unimpressed. Good for you if it makes you feel better, though.

    Hi,

How many boats did you accept on behalf of a client that had a depression in the Engine Room when you were doing these trials?

CAT specifies (recommends) a positive engine room pressure of .5 inches of water (.1275kPa) maximum and a negative no greater than -.5 inches.

This is for diesels, I have no idea and not much interest in what a gas engine wants other than assuming that a normally aspirated spark ignition engine will suffer considerable power loss if it operates in a negative pressure engine room.

    Hi,

3 acceptance trials with engine rooms built with passive ventilation. All 3 instances the installation was approved by manufacturers rep. as the negative pressure did not exceed their parameters. Don't have the reports in front of me to tell you what the values were.
