Exactly! I am on my fishing grounds with lines on the water in 30 minutes from my home. Cruising at 40 not 21. Also the ease of maintenance on an outboard is just easy compared to an inboard with a blower, turbo etc etc. You can swap out a motor in one day without taking the boat apart. Try to do that with any inboard. And you learn what turn key really means. Park it for 2 months and turn the key and go. That is impossible on the inboard smokers. I hope this perspective helps.
