80 knot yacht?

hope they can get a shot at her; infuriating that they're testing her, they tow her back and no one takes a picture

PROJECT 305
London, Aug 4 — press report, dated
today, states: A multi-million-pound
superyacht was towed into Plymouth
yesterday when a ‘severe’ blaze in the
engine-room halted sea trials. The
‘Project 305’, one of Devonport
Dockyard operator DML’s most
ambitious builds and shrouded in
secrecy, was rescued after the fire
started 11 miles out to sea. The vessel
was south west off Rame Head when
the fire broke out. A spokesperson for
Brixham coastguard said a lifeboat
was on standby after they had
received reports of the fire at about
1300 hrs, but the yacht’s master had
said their help was unnecessary. The
spokesperson said: “The master
insisted he did not need any
coastguard assistance. He said he had
it under control and arranged for
DML’s own tugs and fire vessels to
help. “We informed the fire
authorities.” The vessel, and its 28
crew members, were towed by three
tugs to Devonport where three
appliances, two from Camels Head and
one from Crownhill, and the
Plymstock fire boat were ready to
make the engine-room safe at about
1630 hrs. A spokesperson for the fire
service said the fire was contained at
sea and no one was injured but the
engine-room was ‘severely damaged’.
They said: “We went out when we were
called by the coastguard and
shadowed the boat in from the
Breakwater. “Four breathing
apparatus, one jet and a thermal
imaging camera were used to secure
the engine-room while the yacht was
moored at Devonport.” Details of the
Project 305 superyacht have been kept
a closely guarded secret by DML as
part of a confidentiality agreement
with its hugely wealthy buyer. His or
her identity may never be revealed
although it is believed the person is
‘well-known’.

guess what;
i just returned from my gym, which is about 50 mtr. from my house(****, im lucky!) and i ran into a superyacht captain there who's member of the same club for a few months

We had a short talk about the 305 which is captained by a friend of him;
he wasnt' surprised one bit about the fire; 20 of the 50 mtr. is engine

They changed something in this whole configuration to gain an extra 10 knots; all this tinkering is a bit of a bad sign designwise
