    With ZF Zeus you just need to make the tunnel where the pod sits, it is also stated in the instructions manual.
    In IPS the gravity game is different due to the forward thrust of the pod. Also the that manual seems to be for the first ones.

    Many today make hull fully dedicated to IPS pod drives or to the least change most of it for them.
