Personally I would never replace a fiberglass tank with alum in a diesel boat. My tanks are over 50 year old. the only thing that can cause a glass tank to fail is being pressurized while filling because of clogged vents. Otherwise they should last as long as the hull Obviously it’s a different story with older gas boats thanks to the stupid politicians who decided using food for fuel was a good way of getting votes in the Midwest…. and even then, newer tanks use ethanol proof resins. Don’t know about Bertram but I know that hatteras tanks built after the late 80s don’t have any issues with ethanol
