Rybovich kicks up the PB Show Guys there hasn't been any mention of the fact that Rybovich is participating in the Show this year at their facility in hopes of growing the show to an international event. There are a handful of large boats being displayed at the north basin of their south yard (the original Rybovich in West Palm Beach). I gather there will be a water taxi to transport you from the main show. I'm off to the Bahamas today, so have fun everyone!
As Kenny said, this is an important new addition to the show because Rybovich has deep water docks. I can confirm that shuttles will be running from the downtown Flagler show entrance to Rybo's yard.
Hello, I am new to this site and look forward to meeting boating enthusiasts at PBBS 08. I will be at the Rybovich Ball on Friday and the show on Saturday. Will be at the Floating Barge watching the wanna bees. Cheers, Susan
A kind reminder for the Saturday get-together: 4.00 pm on the North Beer Barge (as described by our Admin) I hope to see you all there and wish everyone a good weekend.
Don't believe a word our Publisher/Administrator says. Thin air?? Thin air???? All I'll tell without a liquid bribe is that the Publisher/Administrator showed up at the Rybovich boatyard soiree last night with what we in the journalism trade call "a BABE!". Good on 'ya, mate!!!
A babe huh, so much for thin air. Are you sure you weren't mistaken ayachtguy? How were the proportions of this thin air babe? I thought oxygen + hydrogen = water but I was wrong, apparently oxygen was the main ingredient this time
YachtLuver, I can vouch for ayachtguy as I saw the same thing, and let me tell you, she was more, much more than air. I had the great pleasure of not just meeting his date, but also having fine conversation as we toured the yachts. Beautiful, shapely and with a head on her shoulders, I asked her what she was doing with our guy, couldn't she do better? LOL I'm not one to spill the secrets, so let it suffice that they were an engaging couple who seemed to enjoy each other's company, and gave our boy a reason to put on a jacket (good to see he can dress up).
Thanks for the kudos guys. Every now & then, a guy gets lucky and finds himself fortunate to be in the company of great girl. Good to see Capt. Tom and the editorial Poobah of Yachting at the Rybo Ball. It was also good to see the Master of Ceremonies, "Master Bach" himself. Thank you for another exceptional event.
Following up on my "thin air" date, YF's Capt. Tom attended the Rybo Boatyard Ball and as always, has his trusty Nikon nearby. While taking various shots around the yard, he happened to shoot Trinity's "Mine Games" on the hard. In doing so, he captured a moment... completely unplanned. If you look closely at the bottom right corner of the image, you can see two people standing under under the prop-pockets of the hull. How did this happen, you may or may not ask...? While walking the yard, listening to music in the background, my date asked me to dance. I said "sure, but let's do it under here. I do my best work beneath the surface". A big thank you to Capt. Tom.
You guys are all so...um...gentlemanly about this. I mean, nobody has mentioned that this is a twin-screw boat. With really big shafts. Or that they're standing under the fanTAIL of the boat? As long as we have the Publisher on the skewer, I say turn on the rotisserie!! And, by the way, it wasn't his looks that achieved this...it had to be the superbly cut pastel sport dinner jacket he was wearing. I just hope he didn't get any BOTTOM paint on it.
