The owner was driving the boat... Took it out the pass and all was fine.... The Mechanic and his 2 helpers were in the engine room... None noticed the hose blow off etc. as it was on the outboard side... I would have at least seen all the water running into the bilge... He ran it up to 1800 RPM's for less than a minute when it went to hell.... He said he was going to call me in for this.. but didn't..... So Now I am looking for Manifolds..... Any suggestions besides RPM diesel??? We would like to find surplus....thx....

    Sorry for the bad news.
If I remember, 12/92s could use a variety of exhaust manifolds.
Are they tapered cast manifold like a 12/6-71 or logs with end caps on both ends?
Part number or picture would help.
I'm always looking for 12v71 spares for a friend and myself and trip over 92 stuff.
Found a running 1-71 genset (10kw) on e-bay the other day. People went on a bidding war on that one.

Yep, the 92 logs. I'll start hunting. You need Miami or ?? Delivery?

Try Western Branch in Norfolk, VA. They've been a DD dealer for a very long time. Looks like you have Steward and Stephens 12v92's

These are 16 V 92's... I have a better picture somewhere.. These are Balanced and Blueprinted "Roger Penske" engines.... And the Boss has informed me he has found them in Lauderdale for a grand a set... OK....

    Hi,

I should think that Owners Wallet aches as well after being a part of the story.

Nice guy.. became a friend over time.. But he does as he does..... I try to help out.... He is being quiet now.. I guess tying to figure it out on his own.. Found the manifolds in Lauderdale for a decent price.... I have not heard from him lately.... I am doing Divemaster training in Bayahibe DR. for a few months waiting for season.....
