It isn't the haulout for normal oil change that affects the cost of ownership so much. Whenever you have emulsionated oil (as you experienced...
Seriously? Got a link? Anyhow, none of the builders I spoke with are paying anywhere near those prices.
With any builder offering alternative powerplants (including non-VP and non-IPS), the first of your statements above would be plain wrong. I'm not...
Extra cost vs. what? Did Delta Powerboats ever built anything on shafts?
I guess you are referring to my previous post with your comment, also because you specifically argued about what is "rocket science" or not. But...
Because they do not. I mean, yeah, they do cost a lot to boaters, because they fall - hook, line and sinker - for all the hype that VP managed to...
Many thanks, good to know. My understanding is that MAN ship the engines to their distributors and/or builders already painted. So, I don't think...
I can't see any colour name or code in your photo. Can you (or anyone else of course) be more specific? I'm assuming you are talking of white...

Don't mix the sacred with the profane. Azimuthing propulsion on displacement vessels has been around for ages, but comparing the products of...
Neither MAN nor other major manufacturers design their blocks specifically for marine applications. They just marinize something designed...
If you are happy with the powerplant in your Viking, good for you. And if that Scott Marine Power chap thinks that the V10/1100 is one of the best...
These days, it ain't a matter of liking or not. For instance, if you don't trust computers, you should never use an airliner, or count on the...
Q.E.D. :)
I would agree that it can be wrong, when talking of maturity alone. As FlyingGolfer did, and I appreciate that in your post you are replying to...
