Solid teak steps can have several grooves routed across them. Fill the grooves with deck caulking and you have a raw teak non skid step.
Barkeepers makes a soft scrub like product also. Seems to be a finer abrasive in the liquid product. Both Barkeepers have oxalic acid in them.
