this is an aluminum boat they sometimes have issues with electrolysis in between the ribs area behind the bulkheads and places you don't see...
Boat is in ft Lauderdale needs some work that's typical for age . the Price is a little high for this at this time.
I have to ask a question ! it cant be that hard to install a smoke detector and have a fire water system in the rigging going around the boat ....
The captain would be at fault , he is responsible for the ship and the crew .. but I would move on .o_O Trust but verify
