Review: Trinity Yachts 196' Trideck "Bacarella"

  1. Far aft, Bacarella's massive garage stands ready to receive her tender. Large enough to store a Hum-V, the braces on the floor accept a "Sea-V"... Bacarella's tender; a Zodiac CZ 7-meter inflatable with twin Suzuki 150hp four-strokes. Unlike the typical home garage, note the drain in the floor to dissipate run-off from wet tenders or dive gear. Above, a 6,000 lb. gantry-style, overhead crane launches the tender.
  2. Design, engineering and execution form a Trinity of technology on Bacarella. Engineering achievements aside, she shows warmth and flair for her owner, as well as Dickie Bannenberg's extraordinary genius (genes?) for blending mixed elements into perfect harmony.

Trinity has once again shown leadership and ingenuity for the entire yachting industry.

  3. DETAILS

Raised and mounted on the highest side view, Bacarella's nameplate casts its shadow, for emphasis. It is fully back lit for night opps, further illuminating this "little boat".
  4. Furuno SBand 30K and XBand 25K Color Radar and Sat Domes perched high above...
  5. This five-trumpet symphony, set in a hexagon pattern, announces Bacarella's presence.
  6. Her top deck shows a great utilitarian touch, with numerous lounging choices laid out for full sunshine. Every couch and footstool is heavily padded, weather-proof, with neutral colors, while round, oak-wood tables offer each sunbather a choice of drinks, snacks, games or reading material.
  7. The wide aft deck, with its numerous stowage lockers, and generous teak floor, can easily host a grand party, but mostly, it's a wide open place for the crew to secure fenders and lines.
  8. Featuring a marvelous mosaic of randomly patterned tile; with a foot rail no less, Bacarella’s aft deck bar holds every libation you might yearn for. Above, a Sharp LCD flat-screen television folds down to set the sports bar stage.
  9. Ranking as the largest patio set we've ever seen on a yacht, this finely crafted teak table and chairs offers a sumptuous feast for ten, all falling under the protective shade of the aft deck overhang. Note the teak deck patterns. Valhalla for sure!
  10. A total of 6 Miele commercial washers and dryers service the laundry need; with a plus–size room to move around, a linen folding counter with a Miele rotary iron for pressing, as well as shelves for stacking the fluffy stuff.
  11. This dramatic overhead shot of her stairs emphasizes the luxurious depth of padding and tread covering, as well as side- lights to provide sure-footedness.
  12. Proudly embellished with the Trinity emblem, this deck drain shows... it's the details that count!
  13. Note the weatherproof limestone counter-tops and movable chairs, just forward of her enclosed flydeck gym that doubles as Bacarella's radar arch. Curved, sliding glass doors are placed front & back for fresh air workouts.
  14. And when it comes to details, few people are better versed than Trinity's Billy Smith, who's involved in every aspect of the business. Billy is seen here facing YF's Carl Camper (back turned). To the left is YF's Chuck Gnaegy and to the right, YF associate editor Dawn Hagen; all adorning funky white foot slippers. Special thanks to Billy for the time he spent with us onboard Bacarella.
