Review: Heesen 154' "Sirocco"

(Galley; not shown) H-154’s up to date galley provides excellent space and organization for the prized chef. State of the art equipment includes top of the line Gaggeneu ovens, fryers, microwaves, cook plates and grill. There is a Miele grill, as well as twin Gastro refrigerators and double freezers, plus a wine cooler for 110 magnums of Europe’s finest. In addition to a pair of stainless steel sinks, there is a washer and dryer, as well as an ironer machine. An addressable galley call-bell connects with the wheelhouse, aft deck, sundeck and TV room. A dumb-waiter quickly carries victuals from the main-deck galley to the flybridge.

(Engine Room; not shown) Below, aft, H-154’s tender garage stores one 20’ diesel jet tender, one 15’ jet tender, a waverunner and one stand-on jetski. These are stored at the aft peak past a sliding door to the engine room. Tenders ready to be launched are hauled via two stainless steel hydraulic winches, starboard and port. The hydraulically-launched passarelle is also installed here, to starboard. Just forward of the tender garage, H-154’s engine room houses two MTU 16V 400 M90, application: fast vessels, 2720 kW which drive this vessel at a maximum 1900 rpm speed of 26 knots. Cruise at 1900 rpm delivers 22 knots; while range at 12 knots cruise yields 3,400 nm; and range at 15 knots yields 2,100 nm.

No question, Heeson’s Sirocco is a wonderful yacht, truly a work of fine design.
