    Taller pistons and ported heads.
I wonder what the final compression ratio is loaded at high hp?
It has to be a scary number.
Remember, new pistons AND new rods, crankshaft and block castings around the crank.

Either a better engine or tighter grenade.

Sounds like the old chevy days with forged cranks and 4 bolt mains on higher hp motors. LOL...... I haven't heard of any catastrophic failures on the 1900 hp C32s. So perhaps with the beefing up they'll be fine. Seems like a BIG jump in HP.....1900 to 2400hp from a block origionally designed for 1600hp.

Think of what you call the original 1600hp engine.
Similar to many family trees of Cat's other engines, they were originally a tractor or off road equipment block usually making a few hundred reliable (life time) horse power.
The reliable torque and operating cost was desirable in these conditions.

Ah, But a marine engine. Well that 's take that 500HP engine out of that bulldozer and bolt on lots and lots of expensive parts that will make a boat go fast.
    1000, 1200, 1400, 1600 HP after a few years.

So, That's a GREAT BIG jump in HP to get to 1552 HP originally designed for 4-500 hp.
Then the CAD/CAM to 2400 hp (block cast changes)

Agree with the thoughts but hp per litre displacement match their competitors

C15's have come in trucks with 600 HP for decades...turned up to 800 hp and still run a million miles
