This is a new one.... Facebook tried to coerce the Canadian government to allow them to be exempt from our privacy laws in exchange for building a data center here and providing jobs.

It's a good thing this was before Trudeau.... he'd do literally anything, legal or not, to get more jobs in Quebec or Ontario.

Anyone worked out how to turn off G-captain alerts? I'm getting one every 10 minutes and it's driving me up the wall.

Targeted advertising is just the molecule of water in the ice at the tip of the iceberg...

Delete all Google and FB apps from all devices
    Clear your browser cookies daily
Use a tracking blocker extension for your browser, such as: Privacy Badger, Ghostery, NoScript
Never use Google, opt instead for a private search engine like DuckDuckGo

All good ideas. But the best is to not link emails with people on g, y, aol or ms

Unintentionally my a**! That's like saying "I was going to dock and dine at Shooters but I unintentionally wound up in French Polynesia."

Never enter your email and password on any site unless it's your email provider's website. This is a common ploy that exposes all your contacts' data as well as the content of your emails. This is the tool for building detailed shadow profiles about people who never created a FB account. Other sites, like LinkedIn do this as well.
