You are absolutely right! That along with the pin laying in front of the capstan and a dark perhaps hose behind the capstan are grounds for a good keekhauling! ;)

    Sycara V and Caprice

I caught Sycara IV, always a show favorite, as she was being spun around and then berthed at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina.

What I wouldn't give for just her tender!

Across the Intracoastal at Pier 66 Marina is Caprice a 1994 Oceano that was designed by Gerhard Gilgenast with interior by Donald Starkey. Her bow appearance is kept clean and contemporary with the use of retractable anchors. ;)

Sycara IV, Lady Lily, and Magic

Oops, I found one more of Sycara IV getting her final rub down before the show!

Across the Intracoastal from Sycara IV is a tidy row of white megayachts all neatly nestled in bow to stern!

Directly underneath the baloon you see a bright white building which is the Bahia Mar Hotel, the main show location. On show days there will be a steady stream of tenders, water taxis, boats, and all other description of marine conveyances ferrying yachties back and forth and too and fro as the day progresses. ;)

Second in line behind Caprice we have Lady Lily of former http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/marinas-waypoints/11053-just-pulled-coal-harbor-marina-part-ii-16.html#post81891 YachtForums fame.

Do you believe in Magic, well I do! Next in line is the 2005 Pacific Northwest Superyacht Society Design Award winner a 130-foot tri-deck Trinity named, you guessed it, Magic! And she looks as good on the inside Magic -- Trinity Motor Yacht for Sale or Charter - YouTube as she does on the outside.

Atlantica, Relentless, Ingot, and Caribbean Spirit

Next in line is the 134' Atlantica built in 2000 with exterior styling and engineering by Christensen and the sophisticated interior design of Donald Starkey. She can accomodate 12 guests in 5 luxurious cabins and in addition has a floating dive centre so you can work up an appetite before Chef Stephanie spoils you with one of her gourmet feasts.

Next is Relentless a 145' Trinity masterpiece whose sumptous and luxurious interior makes her guests feel like they have arrived in paradise. Which they of course have since they are at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the greatest show on Earth! ;)

Back across the Intracoastal we have the 105' Ingot built in 1998, which is not to be confused with the new Ingot launched in 2009 after being built for the same owner, the well known Chairman of Burger Boats. She sleeps 6, is all alluminum, is priced at $7.9M and comes with a limited one year warranty! Bonus!

I leave you with a little Caribbean Spirit, well not really so little at 78' x 35', another great way to see the Boat Show and all the Boat Show mahem from the water.

Funny enough I saw that "Caribbean Spirit" sailing Cat on the Everglades webcam yesterday or day before. Had a good view of it because I assume the cam operator was zooming in on it and following it around.

It's been dark for hours! And not night shots. I hope Tom is OK!

Thanks for your concern, PropBet, I'm okay. Tired with sore feet but okay.
So you know, I work the day shift for one of my publications that puts out a paper each day during the show, so I'm out taking crew shots, working on stories and then have a deadline to get it in, and then do it all again tomorrow. I hit the docks around 9 or 10PM to get the night shots you see here. So as I watch the end of the World Series, I'm processing the pics you will see here.
Have to make hay while the sun (or in this case, the moon, shines).
And thanks to disco for covering the show during daylight hours.

    Here we have:
    Unbridled
    Harmony
    The Fraser display

Hey Tom, your 'no clue boat' is Danish Yacht's "Shooting Star".

BTW if you or Disco could get more shots, day or night, of "Harbour Island" that would be cool!

    Challange accepted.
But I need to be careful. I'm at the age where taking too many babe photos will have me appear as a dirty old man as opposed to a cool, young photographer. lol

Here are some wannabe sailors gracing the docks with their big...er, smiles.

Lazzara had their regular setup complete with the show barge. Here's the 92 LSX with a dark hull, side balconey and TV in the lazzarette to catch the Wolrd Series.

    A couple of favorites.
Off to the docks. I'll let disco and others to pick up the day shift. We'll need to hustle today as rain is forecasted for all day tomorrow. Bummer!

Is that "Satori" or "Inception" that is aboard the Dockwise?

    Outstanding work Tom!
Thanks again! I know you're in a compression chamber with your schedule, and the coverage of the boats is much appreciated.

I'd live to see the EXIF data on some of your night shots and if you're shooting at a very high ISO or something in the 100ish range with 2 or 3 second shutter time. My guess by some of the images is the latter.

Once again, thanks. Great photography by both you and Disco.
