  1. CL Yachts Sells First Yacht At Miami Yacht Show
If you were at the Miami Yacht Show recently you might have seen CL Yachts in attendance and on display. You might also ask who is CL Yachts? They are a well-known brand that is introducing another brand. Remember Cheoy Lee Yachts? Yes they are the company behind CL Yachts and making their debut officially in Miami they also managed to sell their first yacht there under the new branding.
  2. The new yacht as seen below is the CLB72 model and has been sold to a family that will take the vessel cruising in Florida and the North East once delivered to them. The new owner celebrated the purchase with a champagne toast along with friends, family and representatives from CL Yachts. CL Yachts Vice President Panu Virtanen sold the CLB72 to the new client.
  3. The CLB72 has been built on a three deck arrangement with two internal decks and an open-air flybridge deck. The transom area will easily accommodate a few people who gather for a drink or informal dining with a large table but we will look at this area again further below. The swim platform is spacious and the area is perforated which suggests that it is a lifting platform designed to submerge below the surface of the water.
  4. The majority of the Flybridge is covered by a hard top in the common area and it is an area that will invite guests to congregate for a number of reasons. It is the highest deck on the boat which will naturally afford great views while underway or at anchorage. It also has extra seating along with provisions for a grill/bbq area. Of course to the forward area of the deck is the secondary helm station where the yacht can be navigated from in good weather.
  5. Aft on the main deck appears to be a simple area but it really can be quite comfortable with the provision of soft built-in seating and a large wooden table complete with inlay! In the overhang there is even homage paid to the table directly below and serves as a visual art-piece to help tie the theme and space together. Direct access to the swim platform is available on either side of the al-fresco area too.
  6. Moving inside the open-plan arrangement it's evident in trying to create as much as possible with small spaces. The main helm position is not divorced from the rest of the boat. In fact we can see straight up to the helm position from aft in the saloon. The decor and colour palette is also light and easy going helping with the spacious feeling onboard a 76-foot boat.
  7. Forward of the salon on the port side you will find the galley. It isn't the largest galley but it has everything needed to prepare your meals in comfort and confidence. Next door is the formal dining space which is basically opposite to the main helm station. Also note the number of windows on offer to showcase the external views from within.
  8. On the lower deck, you will find the accommodations for owner and guests. Below we can see the master suite onboard the CLB72 and the orientation of the bed points across the beam of the yacht and isn't centrally placed along the center-line as many builders tend to implement. Again we see the light tones and textures seen in the common areas being replicated in the owner's cabin.
  9. The next room category in line is the VIP cabin and that is located in the bow of the CLB72. This room also follows the same colors, textures, materials and decor choices. The difference is that it follows the tapering contours of the hull towards the bow. Two windows line the cabin on both sides of the hull offering crucial natural light during the day. The CLB72 will be built using a resin-infused composite hull and strategic use of carbon fiber for extra rigidity. Her principle dimensions are an LOA of 76.9-feet, 19.8-feet and drawing just 5-feet of water. Top speed is 31-knots
