  1. First Benetti 116 Mediterraneo "Oli"
The first hull in Benetti’s 116 Mediterraneo line was launched back in August of 2016. She was christened as "Oli" and since then Benetti has released more images of this beautiful petit yacht. The design of Oli is by GiorgioM. Cassetta Design while the interior has been penned by Achille Salvagni. Full load displacement is around 200 tonnes and principle dimensions are 35.5-meters LOA, 7.70-meters beam and a draft of 2.15-meters.
  2. Oli features accommodation for ten guests in five cabins –a master on main deck, two twins and two doubles on the lower-. The most spacious of them is the full beam master suite located in the standard forward main deck position. The cabin has full-height windows on both sides aiding in the light feel of the room. They also provide superb views out to the exterior for the owner to take advantage of. The generally light décor and materials pallet works well with the space and is aided by the white led recessed lighting that surrounds the lines of the ceiling.
  3. The master suite benefits from a large ensuite bathroom that echoes similar light colors and tones, incorporating some darker shades to help break up the monotony. They darker shades can be seen in the natural stones used on the counter top and accompanying back-splash, shower seat bench as well as inlay stone work on the shower floor. Cool lighting, large vanity mirror and glass makes the space feel larger than it is.
  4. The neutral tones continue into the guest accommodations, as can be seen in a twin cabin below. Not a large space but certainty big enough to allow for two guests to comfortably take up residence. The beds are separated by a small floating table that is useful to rest small items like cell phones or a book. On the head board there is a personal tablet device to allow control of the room’s features. Below there is a suite of outlets and switch controls. Above, there is abundant storage for guest clutter.
  5. As you move away from the accommodation decks of Oli, the character and feel to the interior design by Salvagni starts to change. The main salon for example still features light colored fabrics and offers a different shade with two dominant brown leather-wrapped ottomans that stand out against the sea of white furnishings in the space.
  6. The skylounge is perhaps the breakaway space onboard Oli. Departing from the light swath of tones is a more bold experience thanks to a vibrant purple L-shaped sofa. Black-backed upholstered seating with a dark table offers more contrast while the warmth of the wood on the floors carries the concept in another direction. In fact, one main wood was utilized around the interior of Oli.
  7. On the aft deck of the skylounge there is an abundance of pace. Teak-clad floors offer the luxury appeal that is common to yachts of a much larger size. A large table similar in color and patterning adorns the space to allow for alfresco dining or casual breakfast. Further aft there is outdoor teak furniture lined with comfy cushions for guests to enjoy and continue the conversation. Note the longitudinal lines in the ceiling overhang that echo the direction of the floor teak boards; a nice touch.
  8. The fore deck on the bow is another place that will be in full use by guests with the existence of a sunpadded area large enough to line eight guests at once. The other two guests might find their way to the Jacuzzi just forward of the space. If the space becomes too hot from the overhead sun the crew will erect the poles and stretch a sun awning over the area. Crew can still traverse the area without disturbing the guests.
  9. The sundeck is the other area that will see heavy guest ultilization. Guest have nearly 17-meters of deck to relax on and there are several areas where they can chill. The aft area can be used to stretch out a couple loungers. An assortment of beanbag and molded outdoor pieces offer alternate seating. Towards midship, under the hardtop there is a large table and seating for most of the yacht’s guests. The hardtop has a fabric-lined top that can be drawn at the push of a button. Up front has sunpads for the sun worshippers onboard. The space can easily be covered by sun awnings.
  10. Oli is powered by a pair of MAN V12 1,400 horse power engines. Top speed is around 15-knots but expect her to cruise at around 13-knots. Her range at continuous 10-knots is approximately 3,000 nautical miles. The draft is only around 7-feet which allows her to pull very close in to shore and give her guests shallow water experiences that larger yachts cannot afford to do safely. Oli is hull number one of the Benetti Meditarraneo series.
