New CRN 74-meter superyacht contract signed
Italian yacht builder CRN now has inked a contract for a new build 74-meter superyacht. The new yacht will have nice features that are sure to make living aboard both comfortable and entertaining. She will spread over five decks with plenty of exterior deck space. The sundeck alone will feature sunning spaces, shaded spaces under the radar mast, al-fresco dining and cooling off in the jucuzzi on the forward end of the deck.
On the lower deck to the aft there is going to be a sizable beachclub that guests will be able to use to relax or utilize as a platform to access the sea. Above that on the aft main deck, this 74-meter superyacht's main pool will exist. The long-range cruising superyacht is going to be over 1,500 GRT and provide high-volume to her new owner...
Benetti delivers 33-meter motoryacht "My Paradis"
Italian yacht manufacturer Benetti has delivered the 33-meter motoryacht "My Paradis". She is the first vessel in a newly refreshed line of yachts from Benetti and bears exterior design by the well-noted Stefano Righini. She appears to have a five cabin layout with the ability to sleep as many as twelve. Four double cabins are on the lower deck while the owner enjoys the full-beam master suite situated one deck above on the main deck.
Special features aboard My Paradis include stabilization by CMC Marine using electrical fin stabilizers. There is a turkish bath onboard, a cool feature on a yacht of this size. SanLorenzo launch four megayachts in two weeks
Italian yacht builder SanLorenzo has been very busy especially with the launching of four yachts in the space of two weeks. Two of them are from the SL96 line, one from the SD112 and the other from the SD92 model. In order, the names of the yachts are "India" and "Peacemaker", "Noor" and "Aventus" (second SD112). The yachts will be delivered to clients on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. India has been designed bespoke for her Italian owner. They decided on a refined interior decor that melds the use of two precious and prized woods. There is light-grey bleached oak that was used on flooring and walls applications and Canaletto walnut wood on the furniture mainly. The furniture itself are designer coming from Italian brands like Minotti, B&B, Maxalto, Flexform, Roda, and Paola Lenti...
JFA Yachts delivers "WindQuest", the first Long Island 85'
At the end of May 2014, JFA Yachts delivered "WindQuest", the 1st Long Island 85, a 85-foot catamaran. This fast cruising catamaran is the first of a semi-custom “Long Island” series. The hulls are aluminum-built while the deck is in composite material. They have been assembled by bonding. This method has been chosen with the naval architect Marc Lombard to save weight since aluminium hulls were used. This 85’ catamaran offers spaces and performs like a 100’-110’ monohull but with a reduced draft, allowing for more comfort and increased stability.
WindQuest is fitted with a carbon mast and boom. Hydraulic winches installed on the flybridge are well-suited to maneuvering with a reduced crew. This yacht is equipped with 2 x 380HP engines and 2 x 27kW generators...
Hessen sells 47-meter Project 'Margarita' megayacht
She was built pretty much on spec up until nearly launch time, Heesen didn't have an owner for her. However, May 2014 changed that with the contract being inked on the 19th of that month. She is now the tenth yacht to be launched in the Heesen 47-meter series and the owner is said to be a...‘seafaring enthusiast who is looking forward to cruising with his family in great comfort and style’.
Even though Project 'Margarita' is a sister to the other 47-meter Heesen hulls she bears a few stylistic differences. Frank Laupman of Omega Architects has been responsible for the design, both inside and out. The long seamless window glazing on the forward main deck demarcates where the owner's suite and ensuite bathroom exists. Four cabins for guests are located on the lower deck and comprise of two double and two twin staterooms. Of course, all guest rooms onboard have ensuite bathrooms...
Tansu Yachts launch 37.9-meter megayacht "So'Mar"
Tansu Yachts have launched their newest megayacht, the 37.9-meter "So'Mar". It is an interesting period for Tansu yachts with quite a few projects going on. This particular project was announced coming on to the end of 2012 along with another 38-meter project called 'Cutlass'. Cutlass is expected to launch in Spring 2015 while the 39-meter 'Alyssa' is geared to launch in July, 2014.
So'Mar presents an interesting design almost in an explorer military design. She can boast in the provision of accommodation for eight guests in four cabins. The master suite is located on the upper deck and really that whole deck is for the owner. It is interesting looking at the design how the bridge appears to be stuck halfway between the upper deck and the main deck. This is because it is designed in a raised pilot house manner creating a sort-of tween deck in that area...
Heesen delivers 50-meter superyacht "Monaco Wolf"
Dutch luxury yacht builder Heesen has delivered the 50-meter superyacht "Monaco Wolf" to her owner. She was delivered in early June to the obvious delight of her owner. She endured a solid sea trial regime and passed with satisfactory results. Owner’s Representative Howard Lowe from Royale Oceanic commented: “During the first day of sea trials we had the chance to test the vessel in moderate weather conditions with wind force 3 / 4 and waves around 1 meter. We met all requirements and the yacht performed well. M/Y Monaco Wolf is now ready to be extensively used and enjoyed during the summer season in the Med.”
Monaco Wolf has been designed by the well-known Omega Architects. One of the special features on the exterior is reverse sheer ‘pelican beak’ bow. On the interior, the design is by Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski who creates sumptuous design concepts...

Bilgin Yachts launch 45M motoryacht "Elada"
Turkey-based builder Bilgin Yachts just launched their latest motoryacht. She is a 45-meter megayacht called "Elada" and looks quite reminiscent of the 40-meter "M" launched back in 2012. In fact she is really a progression of that particular design. The two most striking features on the H2 Yacht Designed exterior are obviously her reverse bow and also reverse sloping bridge windows.
H2 Yacht Design are also responsible for the design of Elada's interior. The accommodation can be for as many as twelve with six cabins onboard. The master suite is not in the traditional position, that is on the aft upper deck and benefits from an external deck. Down on the forward main deck where the master usually is in orthodox, is Elada's VIP-suite. Of course the other four guest cabins are on the lower deck as well as cabins for crew...
Tecnomar launches 40-meter Nadara motoryacht "Low Profile"
The Tecnomar brand in the Admiral Tecnomar Group launched their newest yacht to date. She is from their 40-meter Nadara line and is called "Low Profile". Heesen launches 47-meter megayacht Project 'Margarita'
Dutch yacht builder Heesen launched one of their 2014 megayachts known under the Project name 'Margarita'. She was hull 16847 and as the ending of the ID suggest, she is a 47-meter megayacht. Even though she is one of Heesen's 499GT 47-meter megayachts she differs slightly from her sisters in styling. If you inspect closely, you will notice the styling for the windows on the Margarita Project vary from those of her sisterships.
Project Margarita, launched in May was built in steel and aluminium with a displacement hull. On the interior, the styling is an elegant contemporary design. Palmer Johnson secures order for second 48-meter SuperSport motoryacht
American yacht builder Palmer Johnson has secured an order for a second 48-meter SuperSport megayacht. The SuperSport range is a new offering by Palmer Johnson and encompasses yachts from 35-meters, 42-meters, 48-meters and 72-meters.
The American Yard is working with Norwegian Carbon Composite specialists Brodrene AA. in Norway to build the new SuperSport megayachts. The first 48-meter SuperSport was completed in Norway and shipped to the U.S for Palmer Johnson to complete. Now that Palmer Johnson have safely secured the sale of the second hull, expect construction to start soon. They are looking to have the second trimaran hull over in the United States by early next year...
CRN launches 73-meter superyacht "Yalla"
Italian superyacht manufacturer CRN has launched a 73-meter custom-built superyacht called "Yalla". She was built under hull ID CRN132 to a design by Omega Architects. The interior across this 5-deck superyacht is by Droulers Architecture working in close collaboration with CRN's in-house team. Yalla bears a very sleek profile for such a large yacht and her exterior finishes in light colour on alternating dark tone.
Yalla is custom-built and has the ability to sleep as many as twelve guests in six suites. She can sleep as many as twenty-two crew as well.
