SilverYachts Roll Out 77-meter Superyacht "SilverFast"
Australian based yacht company SilverYachts (formerly Hanseatic Marine) has rolled their latest superyacht out of her build shed. She is the 77-meter superyacht "SilverFast" and has been on the tongues of the yacht industry for a while. SilverFast is part of a line of sleek, very fast and efficient superyachts and one of them, "Dragonfly" (ex. "Silver Zwei") was in the news for it's humanitarian work in the wake of the devastating effects from Cyclone Pam on the island of Vanuatu. Perhaps as a good omen, the 77-meter flagship rolls out of her shed not too long after. SilverFast is designed by Espen Oeino and is the fourth and most advanced ecofuel-efficient vessel in the ground-breaking silver series. Achieving top speeds close to 29-knots and a range of 4500 nautical miles at 18-knots or around 6000 nautical miles at 14-knots...

Benetti Splashes 56-meter Superyacht "Surpina"
Italian motoryacht manufacturer Benetti splashed the 56-meter superyacht "Surpina". She is quite different to alot of Benetti launches especially with the styling of the windows and the arrangement of the decks. She was built as hull FB267 and looks quite interesting with her squared appearance. Alot of Surpina's exterior deck space has been taken up by most of the deck structure suggesting the owner perhaps wants to hide from the sun. Onboard Surpina, she will host as many as fourteen guests in seven cabins. The Classic Italian-styled interior is punctuated by the use of marbles and white plush carpeting juxtaposed with prime wooden veneers and paneling. Mahogany meets Elm and Walnut with Rosewood details. Surpina runs on twin MTU 12V 4000 M53 series marine diesels. A 5,000 nautical mile range can be achieved at a more sedate 12-knots...
Rossi Navi Inks 47-meter Project 'Longitude'
Italian yard Rossi Navi has been having a decent time lately in securing orders. Just a couple weeks ago this yard announced the signing of contract for a 50-meter superyacht called project 'Endurance'. Now there is good news about the signing of yet another project called 'Longitude'. The new build is a near 47-meter (46.80-meter) performance type yacht. She can give you a sprint speed of 21-knots if needed or she can throttle back and increase her range to take you longer, perhaps the name of the project Longitude? At economical speeds she has Trans-Atlantic range in the region of 3,800 nautical miles. With dual MTU 12V4000 M93L diesels she can high cruise at around 17-knots as well. On the inside, the all-aluminium Longitude 47 will carry up to twelve guests in her six cabins. The owner has their palatial full beam panoramic suite up front on the main deck along with two VIP-type suites...
OceAnco 110-meter Superyacht Y714 (Jubilee)
Dutch superyacht builder OceAnco smoldered their national competition with the launch of the 110-meter Casco for yard number Y714. Just a few weeks ago Feadship held the title for launching the largest yacht in the Netherlands with hull 808, 101-meter "Symphony". That prestige did not last for long when OceAnco's subcontracting builder Zwijnenberg slid the 110-meter Y714 into the water for the first time. The yacht will now be towed to OceAnco's finishing facilities in Alblasserdam. It is assumed that hull Y714 will become the first superyacht to utilize OceAnco's brand new indoor finishing drydock. Not alot is known about the 110-meter Y714 but we do know that she is designed by Igor Lobanov. A visit to the design company's website is met with a banner displaying that the superyacht is a confidential project...
125-meter Project 'Tatiana' Launches at Lurssen
The 125-meter Project 'Tatiana' emerged from the floating dry dock at Lurssen at the end of the week. Anticipation was building that launch was imminent when photos surfaced of the yacht in full view inside the floating dry dock. Even though visible, details surrounding this particular yacht are quite scarce and that isn't surprising since this is confidential project of Lurssen. Although unconfirmed, it is quite possible that Project Tatiana is the successor to the Golden Fleet. A comparison of the badges on both yachts -even though Tatiana's is covered- lends credibility to this notion. As to the design of the new 125-meter superyacht, it is said to be from the boards of Martin Francis. The displacement superyacht weighs in at around 7,600 tonnes and is suggested to be powered by a diesel-electric propulsion package. The yacht conceals a number of interesting features...

The tri-deck motoryacht has been designed by Ginton Yacht Design who also did the Naval Architecture. The construction - believe it or not - is in wood. Pennon is powered via a pair of CAT CF32 marine diesels to a top speed of 24-knots and throttles back to around 20-knots at higher cruise. The interior, designed by YS Design Office is all done as well leaving little to be completed. The interior features guest accommodation across five cabins for up to ten guests...

The design was unveiled at the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show and the real yacht is anticipated to make her international debut in the Summer of 2016 to align with Custom Line's 20th anniversary celebrations. It should not be surprising that Studio Zuccon International Project is in on the design. Four of them are situated on the lower deck while the master is forward on the main deck...

She has hybrid power source and thus takes the distinction of being Benetti's first hybrid superyacht. Not only is she hybrid in propulsion but she also has been built a bit differently. Her construction is in fiberglass and aluminium, however, the fiberglass is the hull and the aluminium is on the superstructure, some may have been expecting it to be the other way around. Vica has accommodation for her guests in four cabins on the lower deck. The master/owner's suite is on forward end of the main deck and features a private balcony on the starboard side. If needed there is an additional cabin space on the upper deck. Crew are located forward on the lower deck...
Sunrise Yacht's Third 45-meter Megayacht Under Construction
After the successes enjoyed by Sunrise Yachts with the current units in the Sunrise 45-meter series, they announce a third hull is currently under construction. Cast your minds back just to 2014 where this Turkey-based yard completed the 45-meter "Atomic", the second 45-meter in the series. Of course, the debut hull, then named "Africa" was built in 2009. A third one is now in build currently at their Antalya facilities is another tri-deck. The full displacement megayacht has had her keel laid already and having her structure fleshed out. This series of yacht is definitely a winner with both of them being recognized in international media constantly and the Atomic being able to have been a finalist in the World Superyacht Awards last year. The third hull is also for sale for a prospective owner asking €18,700,000. Also expect this hull to be completed in 2017...

Benetti Launches 63.5-meter Superyacht 'FB264'
Italian yard Benetti Yachts launched another superyacht recently. This time it is a 63.5-meter yacht built under hull ID 'FB264'. This one is going to be one-hundred percent for private usage and so far no name has been seen on her sides as yet. This 63.5-meter yacht appears to have four internal decks above the waterline and a sun deck. She was built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and displaces around 1,000 tonnes at full load. Although not as wide as she could be given her 60+meter frame she still has a comfortable 11-meter beam. The interiors aren't sprawling either but made up of intimate spaces for her private owner and guests/family. It appears as she is carrying seven staterooms for her guests and owner. Three twins, a double, two VIPs and the owner's suite. She is powered via a pair of MTU 12V 4000 M53 marine diesels with a top speed of 15.5-knots anticipated...

Nordhavn's 69th N40 Motoryacht Splashes
Nordhavn, manufacturer of custom trawler and expedition yachts recently launched their 69th hull in the N40 series. The yacht is going to an owner who resides in Quebec and expects to cruise the Great Lakes and Georgian Bay extensively when she is completed. This is the 69th hull of the design and it continues to be an extraordinary vessel yet with a fit and finish that was almost incomprehensible with that first N40 delivered 15 years ago. While expensive, there is likely not a better investment in a new build that anyone with ambitious cruising plans could make. The beauty of the N40 is that she is a stoutly built, confidence-providing and easily understood and operative vessel with the same capabilities and strength as any of the models in the Nordhavn line. A high resale price will reflect her excellence and if history repeats itself, most of the initial investment will be recovered...

Designed by Ken Freivokh for Oceanco, Stiletto represents the distillation of several creative concepts. Freivokh was approached by Oceanco to design a superyacht based on a newly developed Oceanco engineering platform. Ken’s brief was to implement a number of concept layouts from recent projects; taking these ides to a new level. For the complete feature.....

After launching the first 106 LE (Limited Edition), "Mars" last year, Brazilian manufacturer MCP is embarking on building another one. The aluminum motoryacht is quite interesting with the ability to run a decent speed while carrying as many as eleven guests. Top speed is usually in the region of 24-knots with a pair of CAT C32 Acert 1,825 horse power engines. Cruising speed is still fast too at 20-knots and dial back further, this smaller yacht can run out a 3,000 nautical mile range.
