Two New Wider Models Announced
Wider Yachts recently announced two new models at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), the Wider 180 and the smaller 41-meter Wider 135. The larger Wider 180 which will become the yard's flagship when completed in 2022 is designed by Andrea Vallicelli and C Yacht Design. Comparing this model to the other two (bigger motoryachts) this yard has in service, there is a slight departure in styling. Wider Yachts pride themselves on having a yacht that could transform itself by extending its deck space outward with fold-out terraces and balconies and expansive beach clubs/tender garages. The larger they build, the less impactful this design philosophy will become and we think this is starting to happen. Wider Yachts expect to start steel cutting for the hull at the start of 2020. Project 'Skyfall' Sold And Announced At MYS '19
The first news coming from the opening day of the 2019 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is from Dutch yard Heesen. They have announced the signing of a 59-meter project called 'Skyfall'. The vessel will be all-aluminium and built on the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) with an exterior by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. The custom superyacht is for an owner who wants performance while still enjoying the joys of angling. To satisfy both of these requirements Heesen has a 22,000 horse power propulsion package linked to four waterjets! 37-knots is the anticipated top-end under light-load circumstances. The aft will be made into a fishing cockpit. The exterior paint finish will also be of note, designed to highlight the aggressive design and power of this new yacht. Hull 19959 is expected to be completed by the Spring of 2023...

With one day to go until the official start of the 2019 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), we take a look at the best of the best that is lined up at the show. One of the largest superyacht's actually attending this year's show is not necessarily a brand new vessel but it is one that came to the market very recently and created alot of stir simply because her interior was a closely guarded secret. We speak none other than the "Amadea". This large Lurssen comes in at 106-meters and was completed in 2007 with an exterior by Espen Oeino and an interior by Franscois Zuretti. Some stand-out features onboard include a helipad on the bow, a large swimming pool on the aft main deck, fire pits on the aft decks, jacuzzi, cinema, hammam, sauna, a winter garden. Top speed is near 20-knots with an astonishing 8,000 nautical mile range at a more sedate 13-knots...
