Just splashed; Alloy 40-meter "Allogante"
The Alloy 40-meter "Allogante" just splashed at the yacht's New Zealand building facility. Allogante is a near sister to "Como", "Ad Lib" and "Loretta Anne" (ex.S.Q.N). This beautiful luxury motor yacht will be equally as beautiful on the interior as on the exterior.
Allogante features an interior conceptualized by renowned Donald Starkey Designs. The exterior design is by Dubois Naval Architects and is also a design that has been built upon the popular Ad Lib. However, the interior of Allogante is one that called for a design that reflected a sumptuous atmosphere.
To reflect this kind of interior only quality materials were used. For example, sycamore and macassar ebony have been effectively used in the joinery. In the guest ensuite bathrooms, luxurious marbles are on display...

Fincanteri 80-meter "Project Light"
Following up on many designs and projects in the Fincanteri portfolio, a new design has come to 'light'. Indeed this is little play on words because the new design has been dubbed 'Project Light'. Following on 'Wave', 'Marco Polo' 'Morpheus', 'Goldmine' and 'Prospect', the 80-meter Project Light is anything but overly mainstream.
This 262-foot long design is offering stately interior space. This is provided by a significant 46-foot overall beam. The interior will possibly feature lightly colored hues accentuated by quality teak and materials. An airy atmosphere is further aided by the abundant bank of panoramic windows that dominate the superstructure.
A wealth of panoramic windows allows significant natural light to filter the interior spaces. Natural light in conjunction with light natural materials aid in an airy atmosphere...

Feadship launches 75.75-meter "Ocean Victory"
The Makkum yard of Koninklijke De Vries Sheepsbouw, which opened in 2005, has completed its first full custom Feadship. The 75.75 meter (248'.6'') "Ocean Victory" was launched on the 18 October 2008 in the presence of hundreds of invited guests and following a spectacular laser show.

Two months later, the lowest layer of the aluminum superstructure was fitted and the De Vries Makkum craftsmen had just 13 months to complete the project, which is among the largest Feadships ever built.
Entertainment is the name of the game on the Ocean Victory, which includes a dedicated twelve-person cinema, dining facilities on the outside decks for 32 people...

New Zealand Yachts introduces their 50-meter megayacht
The NZY 50 is from the same thoroughbred stable as the NZY 45 so naturally all the qualities remain but with more space to enjoy life. The long sleek lines and a harmonious blend of function and form stir desire. Her poise is warranted with a near vertical bow, a long sharp chine, high polished side air intakes, parabolic windows, and a sun deck canopy that appears to be a down force wing all hint to her potential speed.
New Zealand Yachts core design values are evident with access to an abundance of light, many private and group meeting spaces, connecting people with the water, exceptional sea keeping, efficiency and no compromises.
Desirable owner features that put you in touch with your environment and rejuvenate the mind and body have been introduced...

Not shaken, yet stirring, Christensen’s 163’ ‘Casino Royale’ draws owner John Staluppi’s fifth allegory/portrait of 007. In this showcase interior, a genuinely mysterious urgency prowls the furtive vibes lurking everywhere. Enticingly plush; even “Q” would acquiesce to this dramatic stage at sea.

Each year, boat builders from around the world converge on Ft. Lauderdale to showcase their latest models. Apparently, they bring some boats too!

Wally's Dynamic Stabilization System
This innovative system is based on hydrodynamic foils that slide through the hull increasing performance and stability, improving comfort, reducing displacement and draft.
After having tested DSS and being the first company to try it, Wally immediately adopted it because it is very effective and at the same time simple and safe, without affecting the interior volumes like other systems to improve stability do.
Wally R&D and DSS have been working closely over two years to develop a new 150 footer (45 meter), a new 100 footer (30 meter) as well as the retrofit of an existing Wally 94.
This technological collaboration has produced breakthrough projects perfectly reflecting the Wally concept to have simple, fast, stylish, safe and comfortable super yachts.

Wally Introduces 64' Wally Power
Monaco – The first unit of the 64 wallypower stands out for her unmistakable Wally design as well as for her metallic blue striking colour. This new model of the Wally power range was highly acclaimed by the market: the boat was sold as soon as she arrived at the Monaco Yacht Show where she made her debut.
This 19-meter yacht represents the transition between the WallyTender and the larger WallyPower yachts. The design fully exploits the concept of integrating form and function, and combining large interior volumes with high performance, excellent sea keeping, and wide open air areas.
The model comes with different choices for the propulsion, for the interior layout, and for the exterior and interior styling. The production schedule provides for five units of the 64 wallypower to be launched in 2009...
New Launch: Royal Huisman 58m Ketch "Ethereal"
190’ of Technological Innovation
Informed commentators are already describing Ethereal as the most technologically advanced and complex superyacht ever built. Created by Ron Holland Design, Pieter Beeldsnijder Yacht Design and Royal Huisman – who also conceived her inspiration, the 43m ketch Juliet, back in 1993 – Ethereal is a graceful, 58m world-cruising ketch with classic sheer, easy-on-the-eye superstructure and beautifully appointed accommodation. But beneath the surface lies a host of leading-edge design and engineering features that collectively represent a quantum shift in energy efficiency, enabling Ethereal to operate for extended periods under her own resources...
