Alpine 122-meter by Chris Seymour Designs
Having just opened a design studio, Christopher Seymour has started off big with a 122-meter superyacht design named “Alpine”. At just over 122m (122.55m/408ft), Alpine is designed to be able to take on most, if not all conditions with high sides, but still boasting a sleek sheer line and open flowing decks.
Situated on Deck One are the main dining, theatre, gym, library, and VIP suites. Above, Deck Two will be the owner or special guest suit, which will access to the main helicopter pad. Deck Two will also house a more exclusive dining area, with a lounge and bar situated on the back deck overlooking the main pool area.
Deck Three will host more living area, with lounges on the outside deck, a second helicopter pad, and the bridge. Deck Three will have further access to Deck Four, which is where another pool and sun chairs are situated. Under Deck One, will be the Main Deck...
Newcastle Marine launches 5500 yacht
The widely anticipated Newcastle Marine 5500 (55-meter) has been launched. The trans-oceanic motor yacht represents Newcastle Marine's largest yacht to date, stretching about 180-feet long. The new launch is a custom built yacht boasting amenities fitting the owner's whims and fantasies.
The Murray & Associates penned design is expected to weigh in at just over 900 gross tonnes. They also were responsible for the Naval Architecture. The interior styling was fashioned by Claudette Bonville & Associates, Inc. The 55-meter yacht isn't just the largest for Newcastle Marine, she is one of the largest yachts launched in the US in over half a century...
Atollvic, Cognit Design showcase 30M sloop 'Anegada Cay'
Atollvic Shipyard, based in Vigo, Spain, has partnered with Cognit Design, the design and engineering branch of the Totalmar Group on the design of an innovative new 30 meter sloop, "Anegada Cay". The Anegada Cay’s structural design has been carefully considered and the interior arrangements and equipment needed by the owner incorporated into early designs.
Several technical innovations were employed in order to fulfill the required use. For example, canting keels and retractable propellers – race course innovations – have been used on the Anegada Cay to dramatically increase the yacht’s performance. A ballast tank system has also allowed a reduction in draft to enable the vessel to moor up in sheltered anchorages, providing a benefit to the owner wanting to access cruising places only normally available to much smaller boats...
First Amels 212 LIMITED EDITIONS Launched Ahead of Schedule
Emerging into the light is the first LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 212, the largest yacht yet produced in the Dutch shipyard’s LIMITED EDITIONS series. With the yacht just weeks from completion and set for delivery well ahead of schedule, the beautiful lines of this 65.5m design are becoming clear to see. The sculpted, feminine form of the AMELS 212 demonstrates why Tim Heywood is in such high demand today, while Andrew Winch’s interior complements the Heywood exterior perfectly. She is planned to be displayed by AMELS at the 2011 Monaco Yacht Show.
At 1503 Gross Tons, this first AMELS 212 features two VIP cabins on the bridge deck, each with sliding-window access to a private balcony. A centrally-located glass elevator makes for easy and elegant access to all parts of the yacht, including the ‘wet feet’ bar on the sun deck and the large Beach Club located at the stern...
Christensen 162-foot "Remember When" Christened
John Rosatti christened his new 162 megayacht "Remember When", built by Christensen Shipyards, at this year's Boys & Girls Clubs Rendezvous. The Christening of the M/Y Remember When, sponsored by Christensen Shipyards, began with a short ceremony on Thursday where Wanye Huizenga Jr. blessed the yacht with a story followed by a prayer. John’s children Angela, Crystal and Adam, then splashed the bow deck with Champagne. Concluding this memorable occasion was a spectacular display of Fireworks.

Nordhavn Launches 63' Trawler
Back in October, Nordhavn launched the first hull of the 63-foot model. Coming on to the end of October, construction was reportedly nearing it's end. "She’s scheduled to be shipped shortly after; final commissioning will take place at our Stuart, Florida office.
Project manager Mike Jensen, currently at the factory overseeing final details on the yacht, said he couldn’t be more thrilled with the final product: “She’s really a gorgeous looking yacht and I think will truly appeal to those buyers who yearn for the salty style of the original 46 and 62 Nordhavns but want all the features and modern touches of the newest generation of Nordhavns. I’m excited for people to see this boat.”
The 63 is powered by the John Deere 6081AFM w/M3 rating of 330 HP @ 2,300 rpm, which is keel cooled to enable a dry stack exhaust. The transmission is a ZF ZFW320 with a 4 to 1 reduction gear...
Proteksan & Turquoise building 50-meter project "Thunder"
Turkey based yacht manufacturer Proteksan and Turquoise has another yacht to build. The successful sale came a few months ago and the new build has been given hull number 56 and project name "Thunder" by the shipyard.
The new yacht will be able to carry and sleep twelve guests comfortably in her staterooms and as many as twelve crew members to see after the guests and the day to day running of the yacht. Thunder has a beam of 9.30-meters and a maximum draught of 3.10-meters.
Thunder has a top speed of 15 knots provided by twin 820 horse power engines. A maximum continuous range of 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots and approximately 3,000 nautical miles at 14 knots. This will all be possible by way of 76,690LT capacity fuel tanks.

Cheoy Lee launches 90' "Serenity" Expedition

Abeking and Rasmussen 60-meter "Kaiser"
"Kaiser" is the latest super yacht to be launched by German builder Abeking and Rasmussen. She is a sister ship to the 2009 launched "Elandess" (hull 6481). Kaiser is hull 6482 and features a design in and out by the same team that worked on the Elandess. Donald Starkey was involved in dealing with the exterior styling while Bannenberg and Rowell conceptualized the interior decoration.
Kaiser's launch occured after the final delivery of the 78-meter "TITAN", (which is the third yacht in Abeking's 78-meter series). She's equipped with twin CAT diesel engines that facilitate her greater than 4,000 nautical mile range. Like her sisterhip (Elandess), the engine package is expected to produce a top speed of 16 knots with cruising at 14 knots.

Cleverly designed 55-foot 'Paperboat'
The Paper Boat concept is one that comes from a familiar site and pasttime for many children and even adults alike. The childhood memories of making paper boats and sail them on any area with a stream of water deep enough to host it could become a reality in yachting design. The Artax Studio has designed a concept for a 55-foot yacht that is based on the same paper boat.
The yacht literally looks like the paper version and hence is called 'Paper Boat'. The center of the boat features a glass structure in a pyramidal shape. Inside this structure, the social activities of the yacht is staged. There is a kitchen island in the center of the pyramid which houses sink, prep and cook area. Bar-styled seats line one side of the island, allowing an intimate experience for guests while a meal is prepared.

Proteksan & Turquoise 60.20-meter "Yogi"
Turkish yacht manufacturer Proteksan & Turquoise is well underway in finishing one of their next yachts. The 60.20-meter NB49 yacht is now known as "Yogi" and is expected to be launched and delivered in 2011. Yogi is also expected to join the fleet of charter yachts roaming the oceans once completed.
The 792 tonne yacht is being built to comply with the MCA (MCA ; LY2). Yogi has an impressive beam of just under 10-meters sure to provide ample space for lavish charter guests. The indoor and exterior space, personal and public remains abundant while giving guests the feel for utmost luxury in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.
Yogi is expected to be able to host up to twelve guests in six well-appointed cabins. Of the many exciting features on board Yogi one of the most notable is a large swimming pool located on her stern on the main deck...

MCC launches 46-meter "Mazu"
The awaited launch of the project previously known as "Marco Polo II" has occurred. Now known as "Mazu" since advanced stages in construction, the 46-meter explorer type motor yacht is a near sister to the first in the series, "Marco Polo".
Her hull color, in contrast to Marco Polo’s distinctive green, is a magnificent burgundy red, with contrasting white superstructure. She has a 9.20-meter beam, draws 2.90-meters, has a cruising range of 7000 nautical miles @ 11 knots and 3300 nautical miles at 13 knots. Like her sister ship Marco Polo she has 1 x CAT 3512B, 1911HP @ 1600RPM.

Vicem 46-meter motor yacht
Vicem yachts based in Turkey prides itself on building "the yacht for yachtsmen". They also are demonstrating that they can build beautifully over 100-feet. Vicem to debut 78' Classic Cruiser at FLIBS
If the Vicem 75-foot Classic cruiser was a hit, then the slightly up-sized 78-foot version will automatically be likewise. Vicem is set to debut the 78-foot long Classic Cruiser at the 2010 edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The 78' is the latest in Vicem's Classic flybridge Cruiser series and showcases everything Vicem is known for.
It is built using cold molded methodology, having a classic appearance and aura as well as being customizable. The normal standard version of this 78-foot classic features four cabins. There is a master stateroom, a VIP, and two other guest rooms. Many of the improvements and updates on the vessel have a European flair especially in the interior. H2X launches Blue Coast 95-foot "Cartouche"
Very recently the French yacht builder H2X took the Blue Coast 95 from the land to the water. The large sailing catamaran also known as "Cartouche", was lifted into the water via crane. Work on this beauty started near mid-2009 and progressed steadily until her recent launch, taking just around fourteen months.
