Wally signed to build Aeroyacht 110
Following significant interest in the recently launched design of the luxury performance catamaran released by Aeroyacht, worldwide sales agent YCO is pleased to announce that Wally has been signed on as the official shipyard. Ben Bartlett, who heads up the specialized sail division of YCO and who masterminded the collaboration, hopes the first yachts to hit the water late 2011.
“The levels of interest we have received in the Aeroyacht 110 so far indicate that this is an exciting and important development in the industry. This project will set new standards for performance cruising, combining an ecologically sound approach with both performance and luxury like never before. It was clear to us from the start that the choice of yard would be crucial to the concept’s ultimate success, and the synergies between the two brands made Wally our first and only choice for Aeroyacht...

The target of the project was to create a sustainable, durable and less complicated yacht. Easier to build, shorter lead times, better overview of the build process and reduced costs are the project’s cornerstones . During the design stage, Ghost 180 went through a life cycle assessment with the goal to have a better understanding of the financial and ecological impact of the yacht and reduce it. The signature styling of the Ghost 180 is a combination of sharp angles combined with clear smooth surfaces...
It takes a lot to get noticed in a segment as hotly contested as the sportfish market, but a new concept from Brilliant Boats is about to make the alphabetical brands stand up and take notice with the first sportfish yacht designed for the superyacht segment.
At 50 meters, it’s no tournament boat. Rather, it’s a battlewagon of battleship proportion. If the size doesn’t scare fish out of the water, the cutting-edge style will have fish filleting themselves in fear...

Recently, Westport Yachts brought the Pacific Mariner brand under their fold with a new interpretation of an already proven model. With a genetic infusion from big brother, the newly reworked Pacific Mariner 85’ is much like owning a Westport, but on a slightly smaller scale.
With 16 boats afloat, the Pacific Mariner 85’ is a boat that has been well-received and further expands Westport’s yachting range. The revised engineering and tooling reflect the level of detail that yachtsmen have come to expect from Westport, at a price appealing to a broader range of buyers.....

In fact, the shipowner toasted to this occasion together with the workers involved in the construction of the vessel, testifying a relationship of trust and cohesion. The emotions and joy shared during the ceremony culminated with the impressive slipway launch...

Fincanteri and H2 Unveil 295-foot "Project Mars"
This is a 295-foot design done in a collaborative effort between Fincanteri Yachts and H2 Yacht Design. The new vessel comes on the heels of many new designs coming from the boards of Fincanteri. Many of these include "Goldmine", "Wave", "Marco Polo", and "Light" to name a few. Now, "Project Mars" joins the ever present fleet of large mega yacht designs coming from this Italian builder.
Project Mars is bent on providing abundant interior and exterior spaces by way of a near 50-foot maximum beam. This automatically translates into voluminous interior public and private spaces. The superstructure is studded by large windows allowing copious amounts of natural light to flow inward.
The overall appearance of this design is one that borders on outer fringes of the contemprary and the ever present realm of futuristic design...
Lila Lou Design has created a radical and possibly revolutionary idea, a swing-sail system with side-by-side, matching masts and booms splitting to port & starboard, harnessing wind power AND electrical power with vertical axis wind turbines.
Featuring booms that slide fore and aft, this staggered system doubles the sail area, generating so much power that twin sub-surface foils and a sliding keel bulb are needed to keep it upright. Revolutionary isn't always ridiculous...

This sleek design was penned by Design Investment Sàrl with Naval Architecture by Soyaslan Design Office. She is the culmination of exterior design elements found in past modern Nereids motor yachts. The vessel's overall appearance is strong and aggressive with her bold angles. No ovoid exterior features are present on the Pherousa.
The materials used in the construction include a hull fashioned from high-grade steel and a superstructure formed from composites. At her widest point, Pherousa stretches to nearly 40-feet, sure to provide spacious interior spaces...

North Star is visible only in the northern hemisphere and cannot be used south of the equator.
Polaris, the celestial North Star, has been a navigation beacon in the night skies for
centuries, both to find the direction of north and to determine ones latitude. However, the
North Star is visible only in the northern hemisphere and cannot be used south of the equator.

The 75.4 meter (247 foot) long explorer styled yacht is designed for extensive and extended cruising in either hemisphere requiring only occasional stops in ports, as well as being fully capable of operating in cold climates. The very experienced owner, who has many years behind him as an ocean racing and cruising sailor, required world class design and engineering as well as seagoing comfort for his guests and crew...
