Marin Yachts well underway with 59-meter superyacht
Just yesterday we mentioned to you about a 59-meter project that Marin Yachts is currently working on in addition to a few others. This project is hull 102 at Marin Yachts and is well underway in construction and is slated for launch next year.
She has been built with steel hull and aluminum superstructure. A quick look at the specifications that Marin Yachts provided show that she has an on-deck overall length of 59-meters, spacious beam of 10.70-meters, 3.20-meters on the draft and displacement of 770-tonnes.
Let's look at some expected performance statistics. Top speed is anticipated to be 17-knots with a 5,000 nautical mile range at 12-knots. All this is made possible using dual CAT 1516 BHD engines. Well over 100,000 LT capacity fuel tanks (135,000 LT) are on hand to feed those engines. Fresh water storage onboard is estimated at 20,000 LT...
RMK Marine launches 4500 Ron Holland-designed megayacht
The technical launch of the Ron Holland-designed RMK Marine 4500 has been launched from the RMK Marine facilities in Turkey. Designed for the experienced yacht owner for long distance voyaging, this new yacht has been built to high quality specifications with long term low maintenance as priority requirements. Particular attention has been given to ensure an efficient and sea kindly hull design and exceptional interior volume for a 45m yacht.
The style of the exterior of the RMK4500 is a unique and subtle combination of elegant flowing lines while containing both the practical amenities and facilities of a yacht and a purposeful stable hull. Ron Holland's intention was to create a yacht, optimised for long-distance cruising, regardless of weather conditions and cruising with family and friends in the Mediterranean, which fulfilled several specific requirements...
Timmerman completes 26.40-meter megayacht "Atlantic"
It has been a while since we heard any launches from Russian yard Timmerman, however, a recently completed 26.40-meter yacht makes the news. She was christened "Atlantic" and represents the second hull in this series.
Guido de Groot had the task of working both on the exterior and interior designs for this boat. On the other hand Ginton worked on the Naval Architecture. Below decks are two CAT C7 engines running her just above her cruising speed of 11-knots. Her range at a slow pace is a respectable 2,600 nautical miles. Atlantic can play host to up to ten guests with her four cabins. The yacht was launched earlier this year (2011) in May but since then has been delivered to her owners.

The single-masted yacht will be built in GRP materials for the superstructure and aluminum for her two hulls. For ease of sailing there will be an open-air helm and navigation station perched on the top of the superstructure under the boom. For convenience there is a helm station indoors as well. This is the first contract in JFA's 'Long Island' Cat series and we look forward to seeing her. Marin 50-meter superyacht
This contemporary all-white steel and aluminum superyacht is the latest sub-55-meter project from Marin Yachts at Factoría Naval de Marín in Spain. She is a 50-meter sleek and balanced design that is pleasing to the eye.
If you reflect, you will recall some of other designs that have become reality from this yard. Most notably the 45-meter "Follow Me V" in 2011. Of course they completed a few other yachts as well such as the "Germania Nova" also in 2011. She is a beautiful schooner-rigged vessel. Additionally, there is the well-known "Elena", she is also schooner rigged, built a few years ago in 2009.
Back to the Marin 50-meter, and looking at her you realize the resemblance to Follow Me V. That may not exactly be a coincidence seeing that Marin Yachts was the Naval Architect for FMV...
52-meter powercat "Eva" by Misha Merzliakov
A twin cabin for children, a double cabin for children, a Master Stateroom and three guest cabins. Sounds normal enough on a yacht? The stability of the yacht hosting this accommodation is further enhanced because it is not a monohull. We are talking about the 52-meter powercat called "Eva", designed by Misha Merzliakov.
There have been many power catamaran designs in the past but this particular design pushes the boundaries a little more. The design in itself is very aggressive by virtue of the angular surfaces on the exterior. Some special features onboard Eva include a pool on the aft end overlooking the stern, a tender bay for a 7-meter tender and an amazing Audi Q7 vehicle that can be loaded or offloaded via a ramp that extends downwards from between the hulls.
Additionally... on the inside there is a 'pit' or playpen in the saloon that may be ideal for children...
Pershing unveils new 82 model
A retake on the Pershing 80' model, the new 82' model shines. The first hull is expected to be launched in the Spring of 2012. Interesting to note about the 82-foot hull is the layout of the lower deck especially as it relates to the master stateroom.
The Master is oriented across the beam of the yacht. The large bed is set from the port side and runs towards the centerline, while the ensuite bathroom sits on the other side. Other cabins for guests include a VIP located in the bow and two twin bed cabins nestled port and starboard between the master and VIP.
This 82-foot bullet can shoot across the water at an incredible 45-knots and cruise at 40-knots with no problem. Below decks are a pair of MTU 16V M93's that allow these high-performance speeds. Even though she is a sub-100' yacht there is plenty of room on the external decks...
Guido de Groot designs Intec Marine 90 Hybrid

Besides it's energy efficiency, the yacht will emit lower noise levels and lower emissions of NOX and CO2. It has been developed in a joint effort with San Diego based naval architect Doug Sharp. A lot of special care for the environmental concerns has been taken into consideration in the design, the construction and the operation of the yacht.
The Intec Marine 90 will have a RINA marine green star design certificate. Although having a length of 27.5m only, it is a true 3-deck displacement motor yacht. She features a unique frontal dining area on the main deck directly connected to an outdoor seating area and a whirlpool. Because of the innovative electric propulsion set-up, more space is available for the crew and guest areas on the lower deck...

Fincantieri presents 99-meter "Xvintage" superyacht
The last project that Fincantieri showcased was the "Fortissimo" now in a flash, there is another design coming from the Italian yacht building company. She is a 99-meter design called "Xvintage" with a beam of 15.5-meters and a maximum draft of 4.5-meters. Both the exterior and interior are designed by Stefano Pastrovich.
Contrary to what many might think, designing a new vessel with multiple technical requirements can be not merely a challenge, but actually a somewhat easier way to sort out new design ideas. The technical constrains dictate the goal they want to achieve, and it was on this premise that the design of the Xvintage 99m motor yacht was born. The scope was clear in that certain requirements that Fincantieri, Pastrovich and Wärtsilä thought very challenging and forward thinking, needed to be satisfied - design born around function...

Sunseeker to debut 28-meter model in January
Sunseeker is set to present the new 28-meter yacht at the London Boat Show in January 2012. The new boat is just under 100-feet long and provides a new emphasis on social areas. Additionally Sunseeker are expected to present and debut the new Predator 53.
It is immediately evident the thrust to connect the outside with the inside on this new model. Clearly the sides of the saloon have side doors that can open up and give an extra view when the bulkwarks are lowered. This option allows easy access to the wrap-around side decks and all over rather than having to traverse the back saloon door.
Another way that she have increased the connectivity to the outside is by the amount of glazed surfaces. From inside, there will be an almost uninterrupted view of whatever the scenery might be. Of course the newly configured sundeck will be a hit as well...

56-meter stay-sail schooner "Regina"
A new yacht was launched, delivered and evaded the ever-watching YF radars. She is the 56-meter stay-sail schooner yacht "Regina". Exterior styling of the schooner yacht is by Ayberk Apaydin. She has a traditional form and appeal overall.
As expected the interior of Regina is classically inspired with Sapele Mahogany in prominent use. Big sails and a big heart welcomes you onboard. There are six luxuriously appointed cabins for twelve guests. Two twins, two doubles and well, not one but two master staterooms...stately!
Regina complies with the stipulations set out by RINA and MCA. MAN engines (X2) are below decks powering her to just above 12 knots when needed. A respectable 13-foot draught allows her to get close enough to shore. To enjoy that woody interior there is a spacious 31-foot beam at her widest point...
