Jongert 3200P sailing yacht with Rhoades Young Design​

Jongert has been trying to keep its line fresh and contemporary and the new Jongert 3200P sailing yacht ticks all those boxes. The vessel is one that has been introduced to the public already, in design featuring styling inside and out by Rhoades Young Design. According to the Rhoades Young Studio website, this vessel is to launch in 2013. On the other hand, Naval Architecture is by Doug Peterson.

The following is what Jongert said ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show. "This year we will be presenting the new Jongert Sailing Performance line, starting with the 3200P. This semi -custom performance sailing yacht seamlessly follows the successful Jongert strategy with a lines plan from Doug Peterson and interior & exterior styling from the boards of Rhoades Young." Benetti 47-meter hull 'FB502' megayacht in-build​

Italian yacht manufacturer Benetti has been kept busy with a myriad of yachts they have under construction across their many classes and ranges. One of them is the second 47-meter megayacht, hull FB502. You will remember hull FB501 which was the start of a new line of 47-meter yachts for Benetti, FB501 was later christened as "Imagination".

The yacht presently under construction is the second vessel in this line, hence FB502. She features Naval Architecture by Benetti and the build is being supervised by Project Manager Jens Cornelsen. On the interior, she boasts a design by Rhoades Young Designs. If the first hull is anything to go by, FB502 should be 47-meters LOA, 8.80-meter BOA and have a draft of 2.70-meters. Full load displacement should be around 350-tonnes. If she is using twin MTU M90 16V 4000 engines, top speed will be around 24.5-knots with a range of 3,400 nautical miles at 12-knots...

Oyster 125' sailing yacht "Twilight" launches​

Nearly two months ago YF alerted you to the upcoming launch of the Oyster 125-foot yacht "Twilight". Upcoming Launch: Oyster Sailing Yacht 125' "Twilight" - YachtForums.Com She has been launched now and in the water at the RMK yard in Turkey. Presently being readied for sea-trials, you as a potential owner can have her as she is for sale, asking 16.8-million Euros.

The composite fly-bridge sailing sloop has a design by Dubois Naval Architects. Twilight offers accommodation for eight guests in four cabins in her Rhoades Young designed interior. The guess accommodation comes as a Master stateroom, two double cabins and a twin...

San Lorenzo SD122 megayacht "Alchemist Too" launches​

Italian yard San Lorenzo launched one of their latest yachts recently, another member of the well-known SD122 series family. In fact, this yacht is the seventh hull in the series and has been named "Alchemist Too", built for a Mexican client. 'Continental III' 26M motoryacht in build at Wim van der Valk​

A fruitful collaboration between Wim van der Valk yard and Guido de Groot resulted in the creation of the design for the new 26-meter 'Continental III' motoryacht. That very vessel is in a well-advanced stage of construction and is expected to be completed by August 2013 according to schedule.

The modern appeal, sizable layout and emphasis upon privacy were all taken into account when designed by Guido de Groot in consultation with the yard and the owner. We can expect triple Volvo Penta IPS-1200s below decks to power this yacht. She will be equipped with a Seakeeper M26000 Gyro system among other modern pieces of equipment.

The Continental III is the newest series offered by Wim van der Valk and is available in sizes of 26, 28 and 30 meters...

Gulf Craft launches second Majesty 135' megayacht​

Gulf Craft have successfully launched their second 135' megayacht of the Majesty semi-custom series. It is also their first launch for 2013. The Gulf Craft Majesty 135 is designed by Gulf Craft themselves. The interior is a custom job sporting accommodation for twelve guests in a Master, VIP and four doubles.

With the vessel just having completed sea trial the yacht should be closer to completion now. Top speed is anticipated to be in the region of 25-knots and give an 1,100 nautical mile range at cruising speed all thanks to her pair of MTU 12V 4000 M94 series engines. This particular hull will make her debut at the upcoming Dubai Boat Show in March 2013.

Rodriguez Group/ItalYachts delivers megayacht "Phoenician"​

Ferretti Custom Line about to launch 12th Navetta 33M Crescendo​

The latest Ferretti Custom Line Navetta Crescendo is on the verge on being launched by the Italian brand. When launched she will be the twelfth (12th) hull of the series. If you remember, back in 2008, Ferretti Custom Line introduced the new series.

The Navetta 33 Crescendo is the result of the close working relationship between Studio Zuccon International Project, the AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology, the Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre, and the team of architects and designers at the Ferretti Group’s Centro Stile.

As a reminder of the Navetta 33 Crescendo's general specifications, she has an LOA of 32.62-meters, a beam 7.00-meters and full draft of just over 2.50-meters. Naval Architectures is by CRN while the exterior design is by Studio Zuccon International Project. This series of vessels are made in GRP and have the ability to sleep ten guests...

Latest Benetti Classic Supreme in-build, sold​

Italian yard Benetti ended 2012 on a strong note with the sale of another yacht. This time, the new yacht is from their Benetti Classic Supreme line. She is the fourth hull in the new series and is already under construction at Benetti. She is expected to be completed in 2014.

As usual the tri-deck megayacht bears design by Stefano Righini. She is being made in high tech composites and shouldn't depart too much from previous units in this series with the larger hull windows and notched-out bulwarks allowing the view outward and aiding further natural light to flow inward.

As a reminder of some of the basic characteristics, she is 40.2-meters LOA with a beam of 8.18-meters and 2.23-meters is the maximum draft. The 275 tonne full displacement vessel is expected to carry twin MTU 12V 2000 M72 series engines. Top speed is around 15.5-knots and high-cruising speed a knot slower...

New Hot Lab 50-meter explorer design for RMK Marine​

Italian design firm Hot Lab presented two explorer design solutions to RMK Marine and one of them is a 50-meter dubbed '5000 True Luxury Explorer'. The vessel bears exterior design by Hot Lab Yacht and Design while the interior is to be decided. this is just one of two designs under the explorer concept Hot Lab did. Perini Navi launches 40-meter sail yacht "State of Grace"​

The first launch of the year for Italian yacht builder Perini Navi comes in the form of a 40-meter fast cruising sailing yacht. Her name is "State of Grace" and she was built at the yard's Istanbul/Yildiz shipyard. S/Y State of Grace, designed in-house by Perini Navi naval architects in collaboration with New Zealander Ron Holland, has sleek lines and both hull and superstructure in aluminium. With just 220 tons displacement, this yacht is sure to perform brilliantly in all sailing conditions.

In terms of accommodation, the yacht’s four cabins include a full beam owner’s suite with a gym, have innovative layouts and can accommodate up to nine guests comfortably. The main saloon is on two levels and has a comfortable dining room and an ample living area. The interior itself and layout are the work of Perini Navi interior designers...

CRN splashes their largest superyacht, 80-meter "Chopi Chopi"​

The largest superyacht to be built by Italian yard CRN has been finally splashed. New 60-meter superyacht design from Pama Design​

A new 60-meter superyacht design coming from Italian firm Pama Design has recently been signed for sale. She boasts modern appeal from stem to stern and has all the creature comforts needed onboard a superyacht. One of the main features that you cannot miss is the extensive use of glass onboard.

The exterior incorporates expansive glazed areas particularly on the main deck and the upper deck. This vessel presents three interior decks and a fourth open-air deck all with a range of possibilities. The design calls for a helipad located on the very straight bow. There's a very large triangular-shaped pool just aft of the touch-and-go helipad and extensive outdoor seating immediately forward of the glazed superstructure...

Sergio Cutolo pens 57-meter Explorer design​

Sergio Cutolo of Italian design firm Hydro Tec recently designed an explorer superyacht of 57-meters LOA. The design spans four decks with an open sun deck partially covered by a hard top. Horizon Elevates P130 model to new P136 model​

Horizon Group announced they are elevating the successful Horizon P130 model to a new P136 model that features a 28’ beam, six guest stateroom layout with additional crew and bulbous bow. “Horizon has much experience manufacturing large FRP hulls, building to classes and regulations, and communicating with clients on comprehensive projects,” says Horizon CEO John Lu. “We are extremely comfortable with the design and pedigree behind the new Horizon P136, and we are confident she will be well-received throughout the global yacht market.”

The new P136 is currently the largest FRP hull that Horizon builds and offers enhanced performance with her bulbous bow, which helps reduce water and wave resistance, and improved interior volume due to her 445 gross tonnage and increased waterline length by 2 feet 8 inches...
