Benetti launches latest Crystal 140' megayacht "Luna"
Italian yard Benetti yachts launched their latest motoryacht yesterday. She is the second hull in the new Crystal 140-series and was built under hull number BY002. She has been christened and her name is "Luna". The new megayacht has been finished in all white with a black draft.
The design has been formulated and sculpted by Stefano Righini with an interior by the well-known Francois Zuretti. The light and airy Zuretti interior features accommodation for ten guests in a Master Stateroom, two doubles and two twins. At slow speeds(12-knots) Luna could have a 4,000 nautical mile range and a cruising speed of 14-knots thanks to her twin CAT C32 Acert engines. Luna is just about 42-meters LOA and 9-meters wide and she will be delivered to her owner(s) for the coming Summer season.

SanLorenzo delivers 40M Alloy megayacht to Dubai
Italian builder SanLorenzo has completed and delivered the latest megayacht from their 40-meter Alloy line. The all aluminum planing yacht was shipped from Italy to the Middle East. The yacht was lifted aboard a special cargo transport from the Mediterranean to the Suez Canal. The yacht then entered the Red Sea and finally arrived in Dubai approximately 15 days later.
The yacht was built for a very high-profile client in Dubai and features a modern interior. Contrasting woods like olive ash for the furniture and burned oak for the floors work the public interior scheme. In the ensuite bathrooms, Fossena stone and Limestone Malayat were chosen to complete the lovely guest areas. Below decks, a pair of MTU 2775 horse power engines deliver enough power to run this Alloy 40 to a top-end speed of 28-knots. Cruising speed should be a few knots slower at 25 knots...
Rossi Navi 49-meter megayacht "Param Jamuna IV" to launch in a few days
Come this Saturday, the next yacht from Rossi Navi is expected to launch. She is a 49-meter all-aluminum Enrico Gobi-designed megayacht called "Param Jumuna IV" ex. Project 'Prince Shark' (FR027). The light aluminium semi-planing hull and superstructure and twin MTU 12V4000 M93L engines with 2,580 kW power make this three-decker yacht a high-performance vessel with a speed of 23 knots. Its cruising performance is guaranteed by the Humphree Interceptors while the anti-rolling pair of stabilizers guarantee on-board comfort even when anchored in the harbour...

Bayliss starts construction on 27.43-meter sportfish "Singularis"
Bayliss Boatworks has started construction on their flagship sportfish model, a 27.43-meter vessel called "Singularis". Hull B19 is being built using cold-molded technology. Construction started a month ago and is expected to continue until she launches around third quarter 2015.
Singularis has been designed in-house at the yard. The accommodation is to be set out to cater for as many as ten guests in five cabins. The master stateroom is full-beam in nature. Singularis will be carrying dual CAT 2,800 horse power engines with power to run her up to 40-knots. Bayliss Boatworks has another sportfish yacht currently in build that will launch later this year called "Orion"...
Viking starts construction on 92' Sportfish yacht
American builder Viking has started construction on their largest sportfish yacht to date, the 92' Convertible sportfish. The record-breaking sportfish for Viking will be built to a design that is in-house and because it is a convertible, expect two versions, an open bridge or an enclosed bridge version.
On the interior, the Viking 92-footer will host as many as ten guests in her five cabins broken down into a master, two twins and two doubles. Being built in all-composite the new flagship of the line is expected to be completed in Spring 2014 and then make her debut at the 2014 FLIBS (Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show). This new sportfish is sure to be a hit when she hits the water in a year's time.

Moonen unveils two new designs
Moonen Shipyards in the Netherlands has revealed two striking new designs just under the 500 GT mark in lengths of 49 and 42 metres, with aluminium and steel hulls respectively. These impressive additions to the Moonen portfolio come from the boards of René van der Velden and significantly increase the range of sizes at which owners can experience Moonen quality.
“We opened a new (second) facility in 2008 to accommodate larger superyachts,” says Moonen managing director Emile Bilterijst. “In this hall we can build up to 50 metres, and even longer is possible with a few adjustments. But size isn't everything… We are also very aware of the requirement among many owners to stay under the 500 gross tonnage figure...
Feadship launches 57.6-meter superyacht "Larisa"
Dutch custom superyacht builder Feadship launches their latest superyacht, the 57.6-meter "Larisa". She was built under yard number 685 and finished to a design by De Voogt with and interior done by Bannenberg & Rowell. Larisa packs a number of nice features in her design. The bow has a strong presence for good reason, because the primary tender garage is located forward in the bow. It is large enough to hoist her main tenders just above 7-meters.
The master stateroom is forward on the maindeck offering windows sculpted into a trapezoidal shape, which is said to be very pleasing to the eye. Larisa's main mast is also a nice feature bearing a strong raked block design yet appears free and almost fluid. Radar pylons stretch far forward while satcom pylons reach backwards...
Southern Wind launches SW102 sailing yacht "Hevea"
After some days of delay due to the strong Cape Doctor wind, which was blowing in Cape Town, "Hevea" was launched and christened on Friday, February 22nd at 8:00 a.m.. She is the hull n° 2 of the brand new SW 102 model, designed by Farr and Nauta Design offices and she is the sistership of "Almagores II", the finalist of the World Superyacht Award 2013.
At a glance, Hevea shows her glamour and strong personality. This is not only because of the peculiar logo (the owner is a comics passionate), but also for the sophisticated taste of the interiors combined with the outstading technical choices. The interior is simple and light as designed by Nauta and Naval Architecture is by Farr Y. Design. SW 103 (the Streamline version of SW 102) is presently under construction at the yard. Gulf Craft launches third Majesty 125' motoryacht
Gulf Craft has successfully launched a new Majesty 125 superyacht – already the third hull of its second largest yacht model – from its Majesty Yachts manufacturing facility in the United Arab Emirates. The Majesty 125 will make its Middle Eastern premiere at the Dubai International Boat Show early next month, which takes place at the Dubai International Marine Club, Mina Seyahi from March 5th-9th.
The superyacht features window lines reminiscent of the exterior of the larger Majesty 135 launched only a month ago, both vessels designed to offer a profile of timeless elegance...
New 59-meter superyacht ordered at Trinity Yachts
Trinity Yachts announced that long-time clients have embarked on their next Trinity, a 193’ (59m) tri-deck custom built aluminum superyacht with a generous 33.5’ (10.2m) beam. The yacht will be built in Trinity’s New Orleans, Louisiana shipyard. The new yacht will have a total of six staterooms for the owner and guests as well as a spa with a full bath below decks. Although the yacht will not charter, she will be ABS classed and MCA compliant for yachts over 500 IGT.
This new yacht is significantly larger than their previous Trinity yachts while still meeting the owner’s requirements to be able to still cruise their favorite spots in the Bahamas and also have a good turn of speed when necessary. With 8’ (2.4m) of draft in normal operation and a top speed of more than 19 knots, the operating parameters to meet the client’s cruising expectations are satisfied...
Custom Line launches fourth 124' megayacht
The latest yacht to in the CL124 series by Ferretti Custom Line has been launched. She is the fourth yacht in the series and shows a design by Advanced Yacht Technology and Zuccon International Project. The interior has also been designed by Zuccon International Project.
The GRP planing megayacht is expected to top out near 27-knots and cruise around 23.5-knots thanks to her twin MTU engines with power near 3,500 HP on each engine! This stylish megayacht can sleep as many as twelve guests in 5-cabins. Two twin VIP-type cabins with two twins with pullmans exist on the lower deck along with the spacious Master suite on the forward main deck. This fourth hull will be completed in March for delivery to her Turkish owner...
Heesen sells 55-meter superyacht 'YN17255'
Dutch yacht builder Heesen has successfully sold its first 55-meter Fast Displacement superyacht. So far, hull 'YN17255' is the largest fast displacement being built in steel and aluminum for Heesen and Heesen is proud to announce her sale. The new vessel is designed by Omega Architects with Naval Architecture by Van Oossanen and Heesen's in-house team.
The vessel has been designed to go a bit faster yet burn less fuel and that is expected to increase the range. YN17255 is expected to employ a pair of MTU 12V 4000M53 marine engines that will run her to a top speed of 16.5-knots. She will have an amazing 4,500-nautical mile range running consistently at around 13-knots...
Benetti secures new 56-meter superyacht contract
Italian superyacht yard Benetti secures a new contract for a new superyacht in the region of 56-meters LOA. She has been given hull number FB266 and is a close sister to an already in-build superyacht, "Lady Candy" (FB260).
The new vessel spreads over four decks above the waterline. Benetti have used many of the features being employed onboard Lady Candy for this latest hull, FB266. However, she will dispense of the Beach club in the lazarette and have her tender storage back there more like the traditional big Benetti boats.
She -FB266- will have a ton of interior space as that seems to be where most of the focus is. For example, the enormous 100m2 main deck open plan saloon offers plenty space and chances for luxurious entertaining. FB266 is being built for a Far East client and will be ready for them in 2015...
Sunseeker expands Sport Yacht range with two new models in build
Sunseeker is adding two new models to its Sport Yacht range. Come Summer 2013, these two new models will be officially launched and unveiled as they are both currently under construction. One of the vessels is an 80-footer and the other is a 101-footer. The vessels come in below Sunseeker's already established 115 and 130-foot range.
On the 101-footer it is expected that she will have a full-beam master cabin located aft on the lowerdeck. Two midships double cabins and a VIP cabin forward exist for other guests. The rest of the layout calls for a main saloon on the aft end of the main deck, area for dining as well as navigation control station all located on the main deck. The 80-footer follows similar in credentials but naturally on a smaller scale...
Benetti launches Classic 121' megayacht "Dyna"
Italian yard Benetti Yachts launched their latest megayacht a few days ago. Her name is "Dyna" and she is the fifth member of the restyled Benetti Classic line. Known as Hull number BC129 she bears design by Stefano Righini. On the interior Dyna accommodates ten guests in a full beam master stateroom, two double cabins and two twins.
Dyna is run by a pair of MTU engines and top speed is 15-knots with a high cruising speed a knot slower. Her range is around 3,400 nautical miles at 11-knots. As usual, Dyna will be delivered after she completes trials and final finishing works for use in the coming Summer season.
