Palmer Johnson launches first PJ210 superyacht
American yacht manufacturer Palmer Johnson has launched one of their most significant launches, the largest in their sport line, the Sport PJ210 or 65-meter. This yacht has been designed totally, inside and out by Nuvolari-Lenard. The PJ210 was launched on Saturday May 11, 2013.
You might remember that the Sport Series of yachts by Palmer Johnson started from the PJ120 and evolved towards the current PJ210-footer. Of course the line continues into the SuperSport which has a new model as large as 72-meters. She has a length just under 65-meters and a beam of 9.5-meters. Alot of features are packed into the sleek and refined profile of the PJ210. The master stateroom has a folding terrace/balcony on the starboard side. Maxi Dolphin 30.48-meter "Nomade IV" sailing yacht
This performance sailing yacht is to be named "Nomade IV" and she just left the Maxi Dolphin yard where she was built. She is to be transported to Marghera, another area in Italy, to be fully completed. She has Naval Architecture by Finot-Conq and a minimalist interior design by Pierre Frutschi. As many as twelve guests are expected to be accommodated onboard Nomade IV when she is completed. This new yacht is an FC100 model and has been designed with performance racing in mind.
In fact when she is delivered to her owner, an intense season of racing is planned for her, starting with the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Porto Cervo, Sardinia. Nomade IV has been built in Nomex and Carbon fiber and this helps optimize the racing characteristics of the yacht...
82-meter Project 'Graceful' superyacht nearing completion at Blohm & Voss
Blohm & Voss has an 82-meter superyacht now in the final stages of constuction with project name 'Graceful'. The sleek exterior and classic interior has been designed and being being brought to fruition by H2 Yacht Design. Nordhavn completes N86 trawler yacht "Rest Assured"
Regular and attentive readers of YF may well remember this Nordhavn 68 called "Rest Assured" http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/nordhavn-yacht/18108-completed-nordhavn-yachts-68-rest-assured.html. Over a year since the completion of that 68-footer, Nordhavn has just delivered another one of their yachts with the same name, Rest Assured. However, she is an N86, a step up from the N68.
The latest N86 represents the ninth hull of the this particular series. The new Rest Assured features pretty much the same light two-toned exterior painting as the N68 with the same name. This composite yacht provides accommodation for eight guests as well as sleeping for four crew members. Rest Assured was delivered to her owners in April, 2013...

Canados is looking to launch the first unit of their brand new Canados 106-foot series. The new model sits perfectly between the 86 and the 120 offerings from this Italian company. Wally delivers 30.48-meter sailing yacht "Magic Carpet 3"
The new Wally 30.48m sailing yacht "Magic Carpet 3" has been delivered to her owner and has been taking part in serious competitive racing since her handover. In fact she just won the Gaastra Palmavela in Mallorca, her first regatta. Magic Carpet 3 is the second sailing yacht built to the WallyCento box rule class, "Hamilton", launched nearly a year ago was the first.
She has a design by Wally and Naval Architecture by Reichel Pugh. The Magic Carpet 3 is a performance sailing yacht and by expectation she should be fast and is. The WallyCento sailing yacht displays exceptional performance with 21.5-knots or a little more in a 20-knot true breeze on her sea trials. She even managed 18-knots without mainsail in 25 knots of true wind. This new yacht will be a major contender in any of these races...
SanLorenzo launch "Liliya", "B2" and "Pioppi" in one week
Two yachts from the SanLorenzo yard in Ameglia an one from the Viareggio facilities were launched in one week totaling three new launches for the Italian builder. "Liliya", a SanLorenzo 40-meter Alloy was launched in Viareggio while "B2", a SL94 and "Pioppi", a SL82 were splashed in Ameglia. Liliya represents the eighth Sanlorenzo 40 Alloy megayacht to be launched to-date. She features a pearl-white hull making her differ from all her sister-ships. Liliya is going to Russian owners and will be completed for the Summer season...
Baglietto launches 44-meter megayacht "Monokini"
Italian yard Baglietto launches the 44-meter megayacht "Monokini" into the surrounding waters. It's a significant launch for Baglietto, not in size but just to the fact that it represents the first yacht to splash since the reorganization and rebirth of the yard. Monokini sports design by Francesco Paszkowski and in-house Naval Architecture. On the interior, that was designed by Alberto Mancini.
The fast looking yacht will be providing accommodation to as many as ten guests in five staterooms all on the lower deck. Of course, this is inclusive of a master suite for the owner. Speaking of fast, the 44-meter new launch, is...fast. A top speed of 30-knots thanks to her pair of MTU 2,685kW engines seals the deal. Expect for this yacht to make her public debut at both the Cannes Festival de la Plaisance and the Monaco Yacht shows...
Vitters launches 108-foot sloop "Inouï"
The latest sail yacht has been just launched from Dutch yard Vitters. She is the striking performance sloop "Inouï". Like many of their yachts she started life at Green Marine who constructed her carbon hull and superstructure. Once the shell was completed in essence, she transfered to the Vitters yard for finishing. Now, the eye-catching sloop has been launched and in the water being prepared for sea trials.
Eye-catching? Her hull colour says it all, a bold green that enables her to stand out from the pack and showcase a very unique colour choice by her experienced owner. Her design comes via Philippe Briand as too her Naval Architecture. The experienced and well-known Andrew Winch was commissioned to tackle the interior design...
CustomLine delivers 12th Navetta 33 motoryacht
CustomLine has announced the delivery of yet another Navetta 33 Crescendo motor which now counts as the 12th hull of the series. She is a yacht based on the older Navetta 30 and 33 models but has been updated in styling and features. She features a design by Advanced Yacht Technology (AYT) and Studio Zuccon International Project.
On the interior, she has accommodation for eight guests in four cabins. The area that normally would have the fifth cabin has been used for a small gym and a Turkish bath. To be clear, there is a master stateroom on the forward main deck and three double cabins on the lower deck...
CRN launches 43-meter megayacht "Lady Genyr"
Italian yacht builder CRN recently launched their second yacht of 2013, the latest member of the Navetta 43-meter series. She is called "Lady Genyr" and she represents the eighth hull launched in this particular model (Navetta 43). The next hull in this series is currently under construction so the series is still alive. As a reminder, this Navetta 43-meter series started back in 2007 with the launch of the "Emotion" -launched as "Emerald Star"-.
Lady Genyr is powered by a pair of CAT C-32C engines and can run her up to a 15.5-knot top speed. A range of 3,800 nautical miles can be achieved at a slower speed below her cruising speed (sub 13-knots). The exterior design comes compliments Studio Zuccon International Project, just like on her sister yachts. Naval Architecture has been done in-house at CRN. The interior is of a classical affair, done by CRN with inputs via the owner...
Alloy launch 44-meter sloop "Encore"
New Zealand based yacht builder Alloy Yachts just launched their latest yacht in the form of the 44-meter sloop "Encore". She started construction at the end of 2010 and has been built for repeat Alloy customers. The all-white sloop features a design by Dubois. Naval Architecture is also by Dubois with an interior by Alloy Yachts.
Southern Spars have been responsible for building the mast and the sails custom built for Encore by Doyle Sails. She was built under yard number AY45 and has an LOA of 43.9-meters. Encore is 9.37-meters wide overall and has a draft of 4.3-meters. The interior is comprised of walnut with precious stones such as marble and granite. Accommodation is expected to be in four cabins all with ensuite bathrooms. She carries a fuel tankage of 24,100 LT of fuel and have a range of 4,000 nautical miles at a slow motoring speed...
Heesen 65-meter superyacht "Galactica Star"
Heesen has recently launched their largest yacht for the year and also ever. She is the 65-meter new flagship for the yard christened as "Galactica Star". Galactica Star is the largest motoryacht of the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) to be launched as well. Her principle dimensions are 65-meters LOA, 11.4-meters BOA and 3.05-meters in draft. Her naval architecture is by Van Oossanen with an exterior design by Omega Architects. She was constructed in all-aluminium under project name "Omnia" and yard number YN16465. Her interior has been fleshed out by Bannenberg & Rowell. Speaking of the inteiror, Galactica Star will be carrying as many as twelve guests in total luxury...
Heesen 40-meter Project "Galatea" nearing end of construction
Dutch yacht builder Heesen is currently working on finishing-up a 40-meter semi-displacement megayacht with launching in May. The all-aluminum megayacht is based off Heesen's very popular 3700 series with notable differences. The most glaring differences comes with the extra length overall as well as the change to the sundeck region. On the 3700 model, there is a totally open-air sundeck under the radar arch, however, with the 40-meter model, "Galatea", there is cover over and around the forward half of the space. It is an 85 square meter sun deck (which can be open or hard top). Aft of the enclosed region you can come outside and enjoy a jacuzzi and large sunpadded area...
Timmerman launches second 47-meter displacement yacht
The latest yacht from Timmerman Yachts has been launched and she is the second hull in their 47-meter series. The first yacht introduced to the world in 2008 was built as "Alexandra" but since then has been renamed "Latitude". The second hull, just launched earlier this week, features a dark hull and design by Vripack, she was built in steel and aluminum.
On the interior she will sleep ten guests comfortably in five cabins as well as provide for ten crew members. Expect to find precious and unique species of wood, such as wenge' and bubingo, are used, as well as high-end marbles and Onyx. She is driven by a pair of 537kW CAT diesels to a top speed around 13-knots. The new Timmerman megayacht will be able to achieve a 4,000 nautical mile range at slow and consistent 10-knots. Her delivery is expected to come in Autumn of this year...
Soraya in last stages of build of their first 46-meter megayacht
The first Soraya 46-meter megayacht will launch this Summer. She is currently in the final phase of her build and will be launched in just over two months. She is looking a new owner and as a result she is for sale at the moment asking 25-million Euros.
The new Soraya 46.7-meter megayacht has a design penned by Uniellè Yacht Design with naval architecture by Meccano Engineering. Inside, she boasts a modern interior by Ales Bratina. Her layout showcases accommodation for up to twelve guests in the typical Master Stateroom, there is not one but two VIP cabins as well as two twin cabins each with pullman berthing. Twin CAT marine diesels are expected to power the Soraya megayacht to a top speed to 16-knots. It is anticipated that she will have a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 12-knots...
"Noé" is the latest 28-meter motor yacht to launch at Couach
The latest member of the Couach 2800 open series was launched at their French facilities recently. She is now the fourth yacht in the 2800 series and differs from her sisters by being all-white. "Noé's" design is of-course in house at Couach and her interior will play host and sleep as many as eight guests in four cabins. There is the owner's stateroom, a VIP-type cabin and two twins. The interior design is sleek and naturalistic. To create an interior custom design, luminous, the owner has favored blond teck and natural colors of leathers and fabrics.
Noé is currently conducting sea trials which is expected to confirm her 38-knot top speed. The cruising speed will be around 26/27-knot mark and this is thanks to her pair of MTU 2,400-horsepower engines. Delivery of this latest Couach open yacht is expected to be near the end of April, 2013...
Nordhavn's new 120-foot flagship one step closer to delivery
The Nordhavn 120 was launched into the test tank today at South Coast Marine, bringing her one step closer toward completion and delivery to her new owner this summer. The 800,000-lb. future queen of the Nordhavn fleet will remain in the test tank for approximately one month as systems are fired up and tested, effectively the last step prior to undergoing final ocean trials and ABS certification assessment in preparation for delivery – via her own bottom – to Vancouver, Canada.

ISA set to launch 41M motoryacht "Aziza"
Italian yard ISA is set to launch their latest motoryacht, the 41-meter "Aziza". Aziza will launch into the water four days from now on April 20th, 2013. She is already out of the indoor building hall being prepared for launch. Andrea Vallicelli has designed the exterior while the interior has been done in-house. After close to 20-months of construction, the new 41-meter is ready to hit the water.
Aziza is being powered by a pair of CAT C-18 marine engines and top speed is expected to be in the region of 14-knots. ISA is currently working on a few other custom-built projects including a 43-meter, a 54-meter and a 66-meter scheduled for 2014. Aziza will be hosting ten guests in a master suite and four double guest cabins...
