Benetti launches 55-meter superyacht "Lady Candy"
Italian yacht builder Benetti launched their latest superyacht, the 55-meter "Lady Candy" in Livorno. She has been built in steel and aluminum under yard identification FB260. On the interior, Lady Candy has a master cabin and a VIP cabin are on the upper deck, along with the central saloon and study. The upper deck saloon as well as the study area has been designed to allow for these spaces to be shared between the two master cabins or they can also be reserved either for the main owner or as a public reception area, if needed. Both upper deck rooms were designed with their own large terrace that offers great privacy for guests.
This 55-meter superyacht has a beam of 10.60-meters overall and a maximum draft of 3.55-meters. The Lloyds Register superyacht will be carrying up to twelve guests in six staterooms in total...
Heesen 65-meter "Galactica Star" completes sea trials
Heesen Yachts has announced that "Galactica Star", the revolutionary 65m FDHF (Fast Displacement Hull Form) all-aluminium motor yacht, has successfully completed trials in the North Sea and exceeded the top speed demanded by contract by almost two knots! The vessel left the Heesen Yachts facility in Oss on Saturday, 11th May and sailed some 150 kilometres, at an average speed of 10 knots, on the Maas river to Merwehaven (Rotterdam harbour.) On the way she had to pass under nine bridges, some of them with a very small clearance such as Keizersveerbrug where the gap between the yacht and the bridge was just 40 centimetres. SanLorenzo launches fifth SL46 Steel motoryacht "Starling"
The latest SanLorenzo 46 Steel has been launched by this Italian yard. Christened as "Starling", she is now the fifth SL46 Steel in the series since "Lammouche" was introduced about four years ago. As a reminder, Lammouche was the first in 2010, "Carol" in 2011 and "Reve D'Or" in later in 2011 as well and "Achilles" in 2012.
Francesco Paszkowski is behind the design of Starling. A pair of CAT1,500kW engines will ensure that she runs to a top-end speed of 17-knots. Cruising is set two knots slower and a range above 3,500 nautical miles is possible at slower speeds. Expect Starling to be delivered during Summer 2013...
Vripack unveils new design for Classic 45.5-meter motoryacht
'B-52' is a design inspired from a classic era, penned by Vripack. As the B52 is to become a real family yacht suitable for exploring coastal areas, Vripack produced a tailor-made layout following the wishes of the young client resulting in a functional and spacious design. Besides exploring the outskirts of the world, she will be used as a stand-by mother ship during classical sailing boat regattas, hence the B in her name.

Monte Carlo to launch 86' flagship motoryacht in July
Italian yard Monte Carlo is set to launch their flagship 86-foot motoryacht this Summer. The vessel will top the Monte Carlo range and has a design by Nuvolari-Lenard, same people who designed previous launches in their line. This one, will however be more spacious -naturally- and offer higher levels of customization.
On the inside, her layout is indeed customizable with the possibility of having as little as three or as many as five cabins onboard depending on the owner's preference. The interior is high end featuring work and pieces by famed French and Italian designers like Armani and Hermès. Basically six to ten guests can be slept onboard the Monte Carlo 86, based on the chosen configuration. The first MCY 86' will make her world debut at the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes in September.

Horizon Yachts launch 32-meter motoryacht "Agora"
Taiwanese yard Horizon Yachts recently launched a 32-meter yacht for a repeat client. The new yacht of the RP105 line was ordered by a repeat customer back in mid-2012 and is expected to be delivered to them by next month. Sea trials have already been conducted and deemed successful.
"Agora" is designed in-house at the Horizon yard and has been built to RINA classification. Special features include an enclosed flybridge with a large skylounge. Accommodation has been set out for 10 guests in five cabins inclusive of a master suite on the main deck as well as four double cabins situated on the lower deck. At trials, it was reported that Agora hit a top speed of 22.5-knots using her twin CAT C32 1,417kW engines...
Richmond Yachts launches 47.72-meter megayacht "Richmond Lady"
Yet another motoryacht launches with the name "Richmond Lady" and she comes from Richmond Yachts. Recently splashed by the Canadian yard last week, she boasts a design by Ward Setzer. Hull number 7 is now the second hull in the 150-series for this yard and has a similar look to the 2010 yacht launched "Status Quo" now called "Excellence"...

There is a 34-meter Leopard performance motoryacht currently under construction and it has just been signed for sale. She is a very open-concept yacht on the interior with views outward enhanced by the large windows to the side and also above. Mayra building 50-meter Freivokh-designed superyacht
There is a new-build 50-meter yacht in construction at Turkish yard Mayra Yachts. Completion is expected to be in the Summer period of 2015 and is currently for sale, asking 25-million Euros. Both the interior and exterior of this yacht is by Ken Freivokh and accommodation is being provided for ten guests as well as ten crew members...
Fairline launches Squadron 78' motoryacht "Match 2"
Billed as Fairline's most custom-built Squadron 78-footer to-date, "Match 2" fulfills everything her owner wanted. The owner is a repeat to the yard, infact they have had multiple boats from Fairline. "I bought my fourth Fairline, a new Squadron 78 Custom in 2010, and enjoyed a couple of seasons of great cruising with family and friends in the Mediterranean. The boat was perfect and never missed a beat, and it held its value so well that it made good financial sense to sell it last year. I’m aware of the many good alternative boats that could have replaced it but chose to buy another Squadron 78 Custom."
Match 2 is said to have nearly 400 custom features around the boat and represents the most challenging Squadron build for the yard to-date. She was 'launched' at this year’s British Motor Yacht Show in Swanwick from May 17th-19th, 2013...
The 11th 50-meter motoryacht launches at Westport
The American yacht builder Westport recently launched the eleventh 50-meter motoryacht in the Donald Starkey-designed 164' line. This semi-custom yacht is hull 5011 with Naval Architecture by Garden/Olson. It may be difficult to remember the 164-line in its entirety, but to make it easier "Vango" (5001) started the series in 2006, followed by "Evviva" (5002), "My Girl" (5003), "Seaquest" (5004), "Xilonen V" (5005), "Harmony" (5006), "Boardwalk" (5007), "Wabi Sabi" (5008), "Legacy" (5009) and "Annastar" (5010).

Pershing launches tenth Pershing 115' express yacht
The latest hull in the Pershing 115-foot express yacht series has been launched by the Italian yard. She took to the water for the first time earlier this week in Fano. This latest hull represents the tenth 115-footer overall since they were introduced. The design by Fulvio De Simoni, AYTD - Advanced Yacht Technology & Design - and the team of engineers and designers of the Ferretti Group.
She is powered by twin 3510 HP MTU engines combined with the applied thrust of two Kamewa hydro-jets. Admiral launches first Impero 40M megayacht "Cacos V"
Admiral just launched the first 40-meter megayacht of their new Impero semi-displacement line and also the first yacht since the reorganization of the company. Palmer Johnson launches first PJ210 superyacht
American yacht manufacturer Palmer Johnson has launched one of their most significant launches, the largest in their sport line, the Sport PJ210 or 65-meter. This yacht has been designed totally, inside and out by Nuvolari-Lenard. The PJ210 was launched on Saturday May 11, 2013.
You might remember that the Sport Series of yachts by Palmer Johnson started from the PJ120 and evolved towards the current PJ210-footer. Of course the line continues into the SuperSport which has a new model as large as 72-meters. She has a length just under 65-meters and a beam of 9.5-meters. Alot of features are packed into the sleek and refined profile of the PJ210. The master stateroom has a folding terrace/balcony on the starboard side. Maxi Dolphin 30.48-meter "Nomade IV" sailing yacht
This performance sailing yacht is to be named "Nomade IV" and she just left the Maxi Dolphin yard where she was built. She is to be transported to Marghera, another area in Italy, to be fully completed. She has Naval Architecture by Finot-Conq and a minimalist interior design by Pierre Frutschi. As many as twelve guests are expected to be accommodated onboard Nomade IV when she is completed. This new yacht is an FC100 model and has been designed with performance racing in mind.
In fact when she is delivered to her owner, an intense season of racing is planned for her, starting with the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Porto Cervo, Sardinia. Nomade IV has been built in Nomex and Carbon fiber and this helps optimize the racing characteristics of the yacht...
