Sunrise sells 45-meter project 'Sunset' motoryacht
Sunrise Yachts have successfully secured the sale of of the second hull in the 45-meter 'Africa series', referring to the first hull in the series named "Africa" at the time but currently called "Dynasty". The second hull being called project 'Sunset' is well under construction and the sale recently came to fruition.
Sunset is designed by Studio Scanu and the same Franck Darnet has done the interior design much like on Dynasty (ex. Africa). The yacht is being built in steel and aluminum and to Lloyd's Class. The engine room houses a pair of MTU 10V2000 M72 series engines and a top speed of 15-knots is expected. Delivery is planned for exactly one year from now, July 2014 and project Sunset will or is expected to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) of 2014...
Horizon Receives New Order for Hull Three of the RP110 motoryacht
Horizon announced they recently received a new order for hull three of the RP110 Raised Pilothouse yacht from a current Horizon owner in Japan. After owning and cruising his Horizon 82’ for the past six years, the owner was in need of larger yacht to accommodate his growing family and business; he looked only to Horizon for his next yacht, as his experience assured him that he would receive exactly what he needed.
Completion for hull three of the Horizon RP110 raised pilothouse is expected in mid-2014, and she will showcase at the first annual Taiwan International Boat Show in 2014. Hull one and hull two of the RP110 are currently in-build for a U.S. owner and an Australian owner, respectively, and hull one will be completed in August for an October debut at the 2013 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show...
MCP launch 42.5-meter motoryacht 'Hemisphere 140'
Brazilian company MCP successfully launched their 42.5-meter project 'Hemisphere' and she is now in the water on course for her delivery to her owner later on this Summer. After being ordered in May 2010 she was constructed under hull number 085 and Project Hemisphere name.
With her launching she now takes the title as the largest semi-displacement yacht built in South America. Her design is done in-house and Naval Architecture in conjunction with specialists Vripack. Dual 1,825 horse power Caterpillar C-32 engines are expected to produce a top speed of 19-knots and a cruising speed of 15-knots and at a further economical speed a range greater than 3,500 nautical miles can be expected.
On the interior she will accommodate ten guests in five spacious cabins inclusive of a fully-beam master suite and four double suites on the lower deck. The master is located on the forward main deck...
Admiral Impero 40-meter motoryacht "Cacos V" delivered
Admiral has now successfully delivered the Impero 40-meter motoryacht "Cacos V". Built in aluminium with Naval Architecture by Luca Dini and exterior styling by Admiral's in-house team, the Impero-line megayacht is on her way to her owner for enjoyment.
Inside she has accommodation for as many as twelve guests in five cabins. There is a full-beam master stateroom located on the forward end of the main deck taking advantage of those large rectangular windows. The master has a large ensuite bathroom with his and hers areas. There is a private study/office for the owner to seclude themselves if needed. Throughout the rest of the interior a common theme has been rolled out with the use of luxury materials like Makassar, dark Oak, Makassar on the ceilings in some areas, silks and leathers...
34-meter Happy Days launched by Ferretti Group
The Ferretti Group recently launched a 34-meter CustomLine NEXT 112 motoryacht called "Happy Days". Capable of 28-knots powered by twin 2800 horse power MTU marine engines, Happy Days was moved from CRN (brand of Ferretti Group) Ancona shipyard on Tuesday, 9th July, and underwent a traditional champagne bottle launch witnessed by Lee Marine Managing Director, Joshua Lee, Ferretti executives, captain and crew.
The boat, which has five large en-suite guest cabins and a distinctive raised pilothouse to separate owner and guests from the operational side, will undergo sea trials in Croatia, Montenegro and along the Italian coast before being transported by ship to Asia and her eventual base on Phuket...
SanLorenzo launches 38-meter motoryacht "Therapy"
Italian yard SanLorenzo has launched another 38-meter motoryacht in the form of "Therapy". Built for a Turkish business man, the distinctive SanLorenzo SD122 has lines from the in-house design team at the yard. The interior boasts accommodation for up to ten guests and there is room for six crew members.
The interior features Walnut floors and white sandy texture and colour upholstery with custom furniture pieces. Therapy is now the eighth yacht in the SD122 series for SanLorenzo. After sea trials she will be handed over to her owner for use in the popular Summer season...
Sunseeker delivers 40-meter megayacht "Rhine"
UK yacht manufacturer Sunseeker has successfully delivered another 40-meter megayacht to their owners. This one has been christened as "Rhine" and has gone to her owners in Hong Kong. This delivery represents the largest Sunseeker to-date to be handed over to Hong Kong clients.
The 40-meter megayacht boasts a custom interior by Ken Freivokh. On the inside megayacht Rhine has four cabins on offer for her guests and owner alike. There is a master stateroom situated on the main deck. The full-beam VIP stateroom and two twin guest cabins are all on the lower deck. The twins have sliding berths to allowing for either twin or double berth configuration depending on the demands of the owner...
Palmer Johnson PJ170 Project 'Apollo'
Another Palmer Johnson PJ170 superyacht is in the works at the American yacht builder. The new sport yacht project is being called 'Apollo' and will be having an interior by Nuvolari-Lenard. When completed she will feature sumptuous accommodation for twelve guests in six cabins and sleep eight crew members.
On that long foredeck, there will be the customary 8-meter pool with swim-against-the-current feature. Project Apollo will be built under the same build management team that supervised the construction of the yard's recently delivered flagship, the PJ210 "Lady M". Apollo should be powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M93L marine engines to crank out a top speed of 31-knots...
Nisi launches 17-meter Xpresso motoryacht
Nisi yachts successfully launched its highly anticipated 1700 Xpresso yacht (17m/58-foot) for her owners in New Hampshire this week. The 1700 is the first model to be released in Nisi's Xpresso series. Recent sea-trials yielded 41-knot top and 33-knot cruise speeds. She is driven by twin Ultrajets mated to 1150 horse power CAT C-18 engines.
Cummins Zeus and Volvo IPS podded propulsion systems are also available for the Nisi 1700 Xpresso model. She was acquired by ex New Hampshire Governor Craig Benson. First Nordhavn N120 on the verge of delivery
Nordhavn is expected to deliver their first N120 to her repeat owner at the end of this week. The top-of-the-range expedition yacht from Nordhavn is the first in the large series of yachts but not the first Nordhavn yacht for the owner. She will be delivered on her own bottom from Nordhavn across the Pacific to Vancouver. She is expected to stop-over in Hong Kong and then take approximately 25 days.
The N120 is run by a pair of 965hp MTU engines that could produce an economical cruising speed of 12-knots. On her contemporary interior, the N120 can accommodate ten guests in five cabins. Proteksan delivers 49.90-meter superyacht "Ileria"
The near 50-meter superyacht "Ileria" launched from Proteksan & Turquoise in April without much of the usual fanfare. Since then the 49.90-meter steel and aluminium superyacht has been completed. Built under the project name 'Thunder' and with build number NB65, she has been designed mainly by the yard's in-house design team.
However, on the interior, Jean-Guy Vergès was tasked with creating a modern interior design to the wishes of the new owner. This new yacht was ordered back in 2010 and subsequently adopted the project name Thunder. Built for experienced owners, Ileria can carry as many as 14 guests in seven cabins. The breakdown in cabin arrangement includes a master suite and a VIP located on the main deck, with a double cabin is on the bridge deck. The lower deck hosts the two double and two twin cabins...

Ferretti Custom Line, a brand of the Ferretti Group producing yachts between 26 and 38-meters in length, has launched the 13th and the 14th hull of the semi-displacement line Navetta 33 Crescendo at its shipyard in Ancona. Hull 13 will make her way to a client in Mexico, and hull 14 is destined for the North American market.
