Alloy unveils new design for PS46 sloop at Monaco​

New Zealand builder Alloy Yachts unveiled a new design for a 46-meter semi production sloop at the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). The design is being called the 'PS46'. Alloy Yachts say ‘the PS46 is ready to commence build immediately and is offered with a reduced build time.’ This is always a plus for prospective owners.

A familiar collaboration has been made for this particular project. Designer Philippe Briand and Alloy Yachts are working together on this one. You may remember that this same team brought you the 67-meter super ketch "Vertigo". Part of the brief for the design was a fast and elegant design which is what Alloy Yachts wanted and Philippe Briand’s expertise in streamlined, fast hulls added to the nature of the project...

Feadship unveils Feadship 'Royale' concept​

Feadship has unveiled its latest Future Concept at the Monaco Yacht Show and she is a specatcular testimony to the art of glass. As is customary for this annual prototype, Feadship Royale was designed with the next generation of superyacht owners in mind. In this case the draughtsmen have given full rein to their imagination on the potential requirements of two specific hypothetical owners. To mark the year of the King's Coronation, Feadship Royale speculates on how King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima -and the country they serve- might use a Feadship.

Feadship Royale is designed as a State Yacht and, like every custom Feadship, a floating palace to the extent to which her owners might desire. Gulfcraft launches third 35M motoryacht "Sehamia"​

The third 35-meter motoryacht from the Majesty 135 line by Gulfcraft has been launched. Immediately the third hull stands out from all others built by this UAE yard. The paint scheme of motoryacht "Sehamia" is distinctive and appears to be in a racing livery.

The onboard layout for the interior was arranged to fit the custom desires of the owner’s requests. The interior was desiged by Gulf Craft’s in-house team to reflect the owner's wants and desires. Appointments to Sehamia's interior include the utilization of cherry, maple and oak burl wood matched with dark emperador marble, white onyx and azul bahia granite. Sehamia features six staterooms including the master suite on the upper-deck...

Trinity delivers 36.7-meter megayacht "Finish Line"​

American yacht builder Trinity Yachts successfully delivered another custom-built megayacht for an American owner. The 36.7-meter megayacht "Finish Line" is the latest in a line of yachts from Trinity to be handed over to their owner. The raised pilot house motoryacht was built in all-aluminium was designed with performance in mind.

Below decks she houses twin MTU 16V 2000 engines which give her a top speed of 23-knots. She has a phenomenal range for a yacht of her size, some 3,600 nautical miles. Finish Line was also built with an as slim as possible draft, only drawing 1.7-meters. Perfect for Bahamian and U.S East Coast locales. There is accommodation for eight guests and owner in a Master stateroom, and three other cabins.

91-meter Project 'Orchid' makes her first splash at Lurssen​

German builder Lurssen released another custom-built superyacht into the waters recently. However, this was only to tranfer the superyacht from the build shed to the outfitting shed. This was not the official launch for the 91-meter Project 'Orchid', sort of like a dress-rehearsal. Now she is in the outfitting dock at Lurssen, this is where she will have her clothes and make-up applied before she finally comes onto the open stage in 2015...

Oyster expected to build a one-off 115' sailing yacht​

Humphreys Yacht Design and Oyster collaborated and designed a one-off custom 115-foot sailing yacht to be built by Oyster. Launching is envisioned for 2017 and it will be built for an existing owner. The yacht is currently in the developmental stages and construction is expected to progress soon...

New 24M Custom-Series Set To Come To Life​

Moonen has signed a Letter of Intent to build the first in a new custom-series of 24-meter motoryachts created in partnership with designer Nick Mezas. The series has been developed for people seeking a cool new Moonen in smaller lengths than we normally build. A second new range of contemporary displacement yachts has been created together with Rene van der Velden for the same purpose.

The Nick Mezas design is available in 18, 20 and 24 m versions, and this first order confirms its attraction to a new generation of owners. The yacht will be built to CE regulations and benefit from a careful analysis of systems and equipment. The styling is more aggressive than you normally see on a Moonen. She will, of course, feature ‘standard’ Moonen assets like low fuel consumption and low noise & vibration, as well as an exceptionally comfortable round bilged hull...

Dunya yachts delivers 73-meter superyacht "Red Square"​

Dunya yachts have finally completed the 73-meter superyacht "Red Square". She has now been delivered and is heading to Monaco where she will be introduced to the world at the 2013 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). Red Square shows off a design penned by Sterling Scott and an interior by the late Alberto Pinto.

The interior is able to host/sleep up to twelve guests in top-level comfort. Six suites are on hand for the owner and guests alike, five double cabins and an expansive master suite for the owner. Red Square also boasts a two-level main saloon, a cinema, gym and heli-pad. There is a special elevator that was installed by Lift Emotion in The Netherlands. New Ferretti 960 sold at 2013 Cannes Show​

A new sale for the Ferretti 960 was sold at the 2013 Cannes Boat Show. The Ferretti 960 model was recently introduced and is an excellent addition to the Ferretti Group's fleet. At just over 29-meters overall length and a hull length a shade under 24-meters, this fresh and sporty vessel not only boasts some innovative design features and flexible layouts, but can also be managed as a pleasure boat. In this way, she combines the benefits of a more compact vessel with the luxury of a superyacht, a perfect combination that will undoubtedly appeal to all her guests.

Accommodation aboard the Ferretti 960 yacht is provided in five spacious cabins, including a lovely master cabin on the main deck, as well as four double guest cabins on the lower deck. All guest cabins are ensuite with separate shower box and large storage compartments...

Perini Navi Group launches 73-meter superyacht "Grace E"​

The Perini Navi Group under the Picchiotti branding launched the third and flagship of the Picchiotti Vitruvius® line, the 73-meter "Grace E". The others being "Exuma" and "Galileo G". Grace E was built under the hull ID (C.2189). Her launching along with the launching of the first sailing yacht in their publicized 60-meter series are part of the Group’s production programme for 2013. Both superyachts will be delivered in 2013.

This Picchiotti Vitruvius® has an interior by Remi Tessier that is both contemporary and very elegant. On the other hand Grace E has an advanced diesel-electric propulsion system with two Azipod propellers, electronically activated propellers that are mounted on a movable support called a pod. This will allow hull C.2189 to hit an expected cruising speed of 16.5-knots...

Andrew Winch 88-meter "Infinity" superyacht design​

Highly talented and well-known designer Andrew Winch of Andrew Winch Designs recently presented a design for a 88-meter superyacht dubbed "Infinity". The concept for this superyacht comes from the idyllic Caribbean where the design had emphasis on the laid-back nature and beauty of a Caribbean island.

Infinity stands out with her low fore section and reverse bow, a feature that is becoming more prevalent in the design of larger yachts. Long aft overhangs create enormous space for the owner and guests alike to enjoy. The superstructure itself is a work of design with large areas being clad in glass further accentuating the curves and fluidity of this Andrew Winch design...

Perini Navi delivers 40-meter sailing yacht "State of Grace"​

Italian sail yacht builder Perini Navi annouced the delivery of the 40-meter sailing yacht "State of Grace". This new yacht has its naval architecture design by Ron Holland and in-house at Perini Navi as well. State of Grace is the first yacht in Perini Navi's 40-meter fast-cruising series and was built at Perini Navi's Istanbul/Yildiz shipyard.

This all-aluminium fast-cruising sailing yacht boast accommodation for guests in a four stateroom layout. There is a full beam owner’s suite with a gym and three other staterooms for guests all to host nine comfortably. State of Grace has been constructed to ABS class and is MCA compliant. She has a range of 3,000 nautical miles. The colour scheme is two-toned with a flag blue hull and snow-white superstructure, boom and 50-meter mast...

AB Yachts deliver AB116 openyacht "Ecrider"​

AB Yachts successfully delivered their latest yacht for 2013, another member of the AB116 line called "Ecrider". Ecrider is now the fourth hull in the AB116 series from AB Yachts. The design is unmistakably AB with powerful yet sleek lines engaging the length and breadth of this yacht.

Her large windows pour an excess of natural light into the saloon and create a sense of openness. Significant thought also went into the creation of the general arrangement, in order to create a unique environment at sea. What sets the AB116 apart from other megayachts in her class is her flybridge. Here one finds large sunpads, another al fresco dining area, as well as a secondary navigation station for easy maneuvering in port. The flybridge however, does not compromise the superyacht’s sleek profile, in fact, it adds to it. AB Yachts is part of the Fipa Group...

Riva building 37-meter 'Mythos' flagship​

The Riva company is currently building their flagship yacht, the 37-meter 'Mythos'. The Mythos is intended to be the evolution to the Riva 86' Domino and also represent the largest planing yacht that this Italian yard has ever built. Hull number 1 is currently under construction and is expected to be launched in the first half of 2014.

Aside from her size record for the yard, she will also be the first all-aluminium boat built by them. Hull number 1 will rise three decks giving her new owner different zones to enjoy and entertain their guests. The uppermost deck is opened featuring a sunpadded area towards the mast. mid deck there is a jacuzzi and forward of that area are triple bucket-seat region for the perfect vantage. Mauro Micheli of Officina Italiana Design is responsible for Mythos' styling. Hull number one's interior has three-cabin layout for guests/owner...

Dockwise books the most valued superyacht ever transported​

As the seasonal migration of superyachts begins in late August from the Mediterranean to the wintertime cruising grounds of the Caribbean and South Florida, Dockwise Yacht Transport, operating for 26 years in the yacht transport industry, is gearing up for a busy season.

​Recent bookings include the most valued superyacht the experienced company has ever transported, the new 214-foot m/y Galactica Star, built by Heesen, which has booked a round trip from Genoa, Italy to Martinique this fall and from Port Everglades back to Genoa in spring 2014. While Dockwise has the capability to ship yachts from 30 feet to more than 200 feet, it regularly ships those in the 120-foot to 165-foot range, mainly to and from the Mediterranean.

There are two ways for a yacht to make its way across an ocean: on its own keel or docked safely aboard a transport vessel...

Pendennis receives order for 31.3-meter Dubois-designed sloop​

Pendennis receives an order for a 31.3-meter sailing sloop with a design by Dubois Naval Architects. The all-aluminium sloop doesn't have a confirmed delivery date as yet but is expected to be constructed in a staged process. On the interior there is a large master room for the owner below decks set towards the stern of the cockpit. Other cabins are for guests with two twin-berth guest cabins that are easily convertible to doubles, are situated forward.

Pendennis and Dubois have a long history of working together with this build representing the ninth successful collaboration. The technologically advanced Taramber launched in 1991 was the catalyst followed by the construction of "Beagle Star II", "Mamamouchi", "Nadia", "Beagle V", "Margaret Ann" and "Nostromo", not forgetting "Ilona" which was the first motor yacht to be built by Pendennis in 1999...

SanLorenzo launches SD92 motoryacht "Minu"​

Italian builder SanLorenzo recently launched the latest yacht in the SD92 line called "Minu". In fact, Minu is now the 20th motoryacht in this particular line from SanLorenzo. She was built for a German client who has her arranged to take as many as eight guests in four cabins.

Minu is being powered by a pair of MTU V10 2000M marine engines. She is also fitted with a pair of Zero Speed Stabilizers. The interior of Minu was designed around what the owner desired. Prized and quality materials have been sought after to be utilized throughout the interior. Natural oak wood and Calacatta white marble on the floors add that luxury touch. The furnishings provide a showcase of Italian design, as products were sourced from Italian firms including Paola Lenti, Knol, Minotti, Driade and Maxalato...

Columbus 40-meter Sport Hybrid Yacht launches​

The new Columbus 40-meter Sport Hybrid megayacht has been launched. As recently as last week, the Sport Hybrid was set into the water at the Palumbo Shipyard. She is an all-aluminium semi-displacement megayacht boasting exterior styling and lines by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec.

The interior of the Columbus 40-meter Sport Hybrid is a Hot Lab and owner collaboration. The interior is environmentally friendly from the standpoint of the woods being used onboard. The different woods are compliant to the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). Light Oak is utilized on the floor along with uses of Teak, Sycamore, grey Durmast American walnut and Eucalyptus Luxurious appointments such as Breccia Sarda and Adria Venato marbles have not been spared along with woolen carpets and leather treatments all combine to give a modern chic atmosphere...

Bloemsma Van Breemen launch 44-meter megayacht​

Dutch builder Bloemsma Van Breemen launches the 44-meter megayacht they have been working on. Before launch she was available for sale at €21,500,000 and now that she has been launched she is still for sale through Edmiston. She has been constructed under hull ID BN141 at the Dutch yard and to a design by Pieter Beeldsnijder. Naval Architecture has been by Vripack.

Luxury is of main importance, the sundeck includes sunbathing areas, a jacuzzi, barbecue and a bar. The upper deck is dedicated as the owner's area with a luxurious stateroom, lounge and terrace. The main deck comprises of the captain's suite, lounge, dining room, galley and wheelhouse. The lower deck features four guest staterooms, four crew cabins and a good-size lazarette that houses the jet skis and other watersport toys. The cruising range of this megayacht will be 4,100 nautical miles. She has a top-end speed of 15.5-knots...

Hatteras Yachts Delivers Hatteras 80' Motor Yacht​

The first motoryacht to be delivered by Hatteras Yachts since the new owner took over the yard is an all new 80-footer. This 80' motoryacht was built to maximize the flexibility and comfort of outdoor spaces allowing you to enjoy more time on the external. Some of the feature optimized for this concept were the inclusion of an expansive flybridge that includes multiple social areas centered around a wet bar that is equipped with everything you need to keep you and your guests entertained. Steps lead down to the large aft deck, where a table and molded lounge provide the perfect setting for alfresco dining.
