CRN signs Letter-of-Intent for two 44-meter motoryachts
Two weeks after Italian yacht build CRN signed a letter of intent to start the construction of a 68-meter superyacht, the company has signed two more LOI contracts for the construction of two 44-meter yachts. The two yachts, once followed through on are expected to be destined for the Middle-Eastern and European markets respectively. The two new megayachts are expected to feature CRN trademark features like a balcony that can be enjoyed while underway, an open stern terrace overlooking the sea, and a floodable garage for the main tender, reminiscent of that introduced on board the 60-meter "J’Ade".

Wider Yachts to build their largest yacht , Wider 165-footer
Innovative yacht builder has hit more success at the start of this year's edition of the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show. Wider Yachts is pleased to announce the signing of contract for their largest yacht yet, the Wider 165, yes a 50-meter yacht. The order initially was calculated to be only a 150-footer but the owner wanted to be able to carry a three-person submarine and that necessitated the extra length.
Speaking of the Wider 150, the first hull in that model is well underway in construction and is expected to launch in 2015. The Wider 165 will actually start cutting at the end of this month and continue construction up until launching in 2016. She will be built in aluminium to a design by Fulvio De Simoni...

First Canados Oceanic 140-footer sold, in build
Good news for Canados and their new Oceanic line of yachts. After the sale of the Oceanic 90-footer they have announced the sale of the first hull in the Oceanic 140-foot model as well. The 140-footer has been under construction with work progressing well. Presently, the superstructure is being worked on and the hull lamination process has been pretty much completed.
The Oceanic 140's interior design has been put together by Michela Reverberi. The vast wheelhouse of the Oceanic 140’ is located on the main deck, ensuring the entire upper deck is reserved solely to accommodate the Owner’s private suite. Perini Navi signs contract for 38-meter sailing yacht
The Perini Navi Group has closed the contract on the second yacht in their 38m Racing Line, a performance line that unites comfort with the quality that has always characterized Perini Navi yachts. Sloop C.2130 is under construction at the Perini Navi Group’s Picchiotti shipyard in La Spezia and will be delivered in the year 2015. Compared with her sister ship "P2", hull C.2130 has been designed according to a brief for fast and easy sail handling through three semiautomatic Perini Navi electric captive winches.

MondoMarine signs contract for 40-meter motoryacht
Italian yacht manufacturer MondoMarine is continuing to produce new designs and also translate them into new contracts. The same has happened with their new 40-meter semi-displacement motoryacht. The news comes after MondoMarine secured the sale of their top-of-the-line M60 model a couple months ago. The new model design rises an impressive four decks above the waterline and boasts a number of notable features throughout. Accommodation appears to be for ten guests in five rooms most of which exist on the lower deck. The master is located in a somewhat new location for onboard a 40-meter yacht. The master is forward on the upper deck, typically where you expect to find the bridge. The owner's cabin is expected to have doors on both sides of the room and open up to slim side decks but can be marginally broadened by use of fold-down bulwarks to form terraces...
Azimut is preparing to launch the third Azimut Grande 120SL motoryacht
Italian manufacturer Azimut is in the final stages before they launch the third hull in the Azimut Grande 120SL series. The new yacht is expected to launch in April, 2014 and will showcase exterior design by Stefano Righini and interior design work by Carlo Galeazzi. Paolo Vitelli, chairman of the Azimut Benetti Group commented: “Azimut Grande represents a tangible response to the needs expressed by our boat owners: it is an appealing and distinctive line that doesn't cut corners in terms of comfort and flawless performance. Rigorous trials and tank testing have helped develop a high performance keel that can cruise with ease, even in rough seas. SanLorenzo launches SD118 "H1" in Italy
Italian yard SanLorenzo successfully launched the first member of the new SD118 line. She has been christened as "H1" and as usual, the owner and family were on hand to witness the momentous occasion. The yacht was built for a German owner who opted for a modern atmosphere and feel .
The new SD118 is actually closer to 120-feet long with a beam of about 25-feet and a draft of 7.38-feet. H1 has design by Francesco Paszkowski and Naval Architecture by SanLorenzo themselves. The GRP-made vessel is powered by dual MTU 16V 2000 M94s and can easily hit a 28-knot top end speed. She is expected to carry ten guests in her staterooms onboard. H1 is expected to be delivered to her owner after sea trials are satisfied...
CRN technically launches 60-meter superyacht hull 133
Italian yacht builder CRN technically launched their first yacht of 2014, hull 133, a 60-meter superyacht. The new superyacht was rolled out the shed earlier this week but won't be fully launched into the water until the start of March. For now, the yacht is being prepared for official launching and interior work to continue. Delta Marine unveils 40-meter megayacht "Onika"

47-meter Project 'Margarita' to launch in April 2014
One of the many yachts currently under construction at Dutch builder Heesen is the 47-meter Project 'Margarita'. She is a sister to "Lady Petra" and is slated to be launched by Heesen in April of this year. The interior has been developed by Omega Architects showcases a mature concept utilizing quality luxurious finishes like walnut, oak, silks, linen and leather.
Although the 47-meter series is not new now with project Margarita being the 10th hull, she is set to break-up the styling set that many are accustomed to with this series. New styling elements that are used on this new hull are more modern looking windows. The traditional-looking windows as well as their mullions have been replaced with continuous glued glass and that adds to the more modern style referred to earlier...
Hunt Yachts 80-foot Sport Motoryacht
Hunt Yachts of the U.S recently announced the commencement of construction on their largest build yet, the Hunt 80' Sport Motoryacht. The 80-foot motoryacht is destined to become the flagship of the company. The design for the record yacht of this yard is C. Raymond Hunt Associates.
The yacht is expected to be run via a pair of 1,600-bhp diesels engines. They will be connected to Hamilton water-jet drives for spectacular results. Top speed is anticipated to be in excess of 31-knots. On the interior, the accommodation is in a three-stateroom layout along with a full-beam master suite midships. Additionally, there is going to be an extra room with the intention of sleeping a child, or member of the owner’s party. She has been commissioned by an experienced owner who already owned a yacht from Hunt and launching is expected in Summer 2015...
OceAnco, Tim Heywood 105M project 'Dana'
Hold on, this 105-meter superyacht isn't under construction but it is just a concept showcasing OceAnco's ability to build this large and complex yacht. For the yachting enthusiasts and elite out there, project 'Dana' may appear very reminiscent in many aspects to another existing yacht. With the sand color hull and white superstructure, classic bulges on the forward upper deck, long sloping transom and the signature Tim Heywood reverse-line that plunges to the bow's waterline, you may think "Pelorus" and you would be correct.

Eurocraft, Gaspard Yachts collaborate on 43M motoryacht "Peacemaker"
A new project is presently under construction and it is a collaboration between builder Eurocraft and Gaspard Yachts. The 43-meter is going under the project name "Peacemaker" and can be completed in the next year and a half. Peacemaker is currently for sale with an asking price based on request. She stretches 43-meters, an overall beam of 8.00-meters and draft just under 2-meters at 1.90-meters.
Peacemaker will be a performance type yacht expected to run to a top-end speed of 30-knots and cruise at around 24-knots. She will have a pair of MTU 16V 4000 M90s below decks. Accommodation is to be provided for up to 10 passengers and 6 crew members. There will be a full beam mastersuite on the main deck, which will include a fold-down balcony. Special features include a jacuzzi located on the aft end of the upper deck, bar and alfresco dining...
Sunseeker technically launches 155 superyacht "Blush"
The largest motoryacht ever built by UK builder Sunseeker has rolled out of the shed and is now being prepared for full launching into the water in early February. Now named "Blush", the Sunseeker 155 showcases an Ice Blue hull color and white superstructure. After launching, Blush will be prepared for sea trials and then delivery to her owner Eddie Jordan in Spring.
The 155-foot yacht boasts impressive accommodation for as many as 12 guests in ultimate style and luxury, while the forward lower deck area can accommodate up to 10 crew, with a separate captain’s cabin. Blush is the first semi-displacement, round bilge hull from the company. The unique interior will feature an exclusive design palette that pulls colors like gray, blue, green to the fore and help create an overall chic aqua atmosphere...
Benetti Sail Division unveils new 41-meter motoryacht design
Best known for distinct pocket-sized motoryachts with a classic feel, Benetti Sail Division recently unveiled a new 41-meter motoryacht design that is both modern and classy at the same time. One of the distinctive features seen on the tri deck design is the relatively long bow. That element really adds a depth to the overall design and gives alot more fore-deck space to guests.
The aluminum and steel yacht has an Italian design by Acube Design. They also conceptualized the interior of this yacht while of course, Benetti Sail Division would be the builders. She is a yacht with fully customized interiors being afforded to the new owner. There are four different proposals ranging from glossy wood up to a very classic understated minimalist feel for the interior concepts. A top speed of 15-knots is dependable on the load factor and by twin MAN V12 engines...
Feadship launches hull 688, 46-meter megayacht
The first month of 2014 hasn't passed and Dutch custom superyacht builder has launched their first yacht of the year. The 46-meter custom project known has hull 688 left her construction shed this morning at Feadship Aalsmeer yard. If you follow closely the yacht's external design it may be evident that this general design was seen elsewhere before, like "Como", "Ad Lib", "Loretta Anne" et al from New Zealand builder Alloy Yachts. Dubois Naval Architects were responsible for the exterior design of hull 688.
The twin-screw semi-displacement megayacht features a silver coloured hull and black masked windows along the main deck. Upon launch most of her surfaces were still covered in protective film. On the inside, the design was done by Redman Whitelely Dixon (RWD) and the accommodation appears to be for possibly 10 in the owner's suite and four other cabins that are located on the lower deck...
