Heesen launches 51-meter superyacht "My Sky"
Dutch luxury yacht manufacturer Heesen has launched the 51-meter superyacht "My Sky". She was built under hull number YN16551 and was launched at the end of January, 2014. The exterior design is by Omega Architects and more specifically Frank Laupman of the same design firm. She boasts an interior by Erick van Egeraat that is done to a relaxed yet sophisticated contemporary styling. The interior combines white leather with dark high-gloss Makassar wood and natural stone inlays as a theme that pervades the majority of the internal spaces.
My Sky is finished in basic white with black accents on the exterior. The interior is fit out for accommodation of twelve guests in five cabins. The master stateroom is situated on the main deck in the traditional forward area and is full beam in nature. The other four suites are one deck below on the lower deck...
First Nautor Swan 105RS sloop soon to launch
The first Swan 105 RS sloop is nearing completion by Finnish sail yacht manufacturer Nautor Swan. Not surprisingly, German Frers is the designer of the first Swan 105 RS with an interior by Beiderbeck Designs. The performance cruiser is being built to meet MCA code as well as Germanischer Lloyd.
As to how far along in construction she is, the yacht has been having furniture installed as well work on the bimini and deckhouse windows. All interior furnishings plus the wood trim for overheads and soles was made at the woodshop owned by Nautor Swan. Accommodation is likely in four cabins all on the lower deck. There is a master suite and three guest staterooms. As soon as she launches, she will be prepared for sea trials and delivery for Summer 2014.

Baltic Yachts have launched the 108-foot sailing yacht "WinWin" featuring a dark hull and bold contrasting green boot stripe. This spectacular 108-footer is designed by Javier Jaudenes. The modern, powerful lines - typified by the wide transom and in combination with the light-weight construction, will ensure fast, easy sailing for WinWin. A great deal of emphasis will be placed on reducing noise and advanced insulation technologies will ensure that the Baltic 108 has comfortable noise levels whilst under sail or engine.

Palmer Johnson launches second PJ170 superyacht
American yacht builder Palmer Johnson recently launched the second yacht in their PJ170 series. Launched a couple days ago the yacht's exterior finishes is pinned on black accents and neutral main colour. Hull two is a near sister to the first hull in the series, the new "DB9". This hull has a slightly different feature located between the mast wings. It appears to be a hardtop that shades and encloses the uppermost deck. She was built under the project name 'Apollo' and has design by Nuvolari Lenard. The interior is also by Nuvolari Lenard with Naval Architecture by Palmer Johnson themselves.
The standard all aluminium superyacht has a five cabin layout to sleep a minimum of ten guests. The 52.20-meter superyacht has a decent 9.50-meter beam despite her slender cross-section. Shallow coves and bays are still your friend thanks to the PJ170's slender 2.44-meter draft...
Jade Yachts launch 51.8-meter flagship superyacht
Taiwanese yard Jade Yachts reached a momentous milestone when they launched their flagship superyacht recently. She is the 51.8-meter yacht built under number JY109. Bearing design by JC Espinosa, she is finished in an apparent cream/sand hull colour and boast four internal decks. The interior was done by Central Yacht, the same people behind the design of Benetti superyacht "Lady Candy".
The 51.8-meter superyacht is said to have a layout that features two master suites, one on the upper deck offering the same comfort and appeal as the more traditionally located main deck owner’s suite. The other guest cabins are located on the lower deck and comprise of two doubles and two twins for guests. She can be used for global travel if needed thanks to her Ice-classed steel hull. Power wise, she has MTU engines onboard and an anticipated top speed is 18-knots...
Riva unveils the 88-foot 'Miami' sportsyacht
Riva continually expands and reinvents the products in its line. The latest project they have been working on is a 87.7-foot yacht they are calling the 'Miami'. This will be an open air style yacht will plenty under the hood to produce the horsepower needed for blistering offshore speeds. There will be engine options available from MTU but using the MTU 16V 2000 M93s it should be able to run at 38.5-knots maximum speed. Cruising will be around 34-knots and expect a range of approximately 340 nautical miles.
The Miami is envisioned to carry 7,500 LT of fuel and 900 LT of water so she can host quite a few people for a day offshore. The 88-footer gives a seemingly generous 20.4-foot overall beam and inside she is offering four cabins plus two crew...

Filippetti Yachts will soon launch their top-of-the-line 30-meter motoryacht. She is to be called "Gatsby" and be launched in June. Third 60-meter Perini Navi sailing yacht sold
Italian sailing yacht specialist Perini Navi successfully sold a 3rd unit in their new 60-meter class of sailing yachts. If you need a reminder, their new 60-meters started with the "SeaHawk", she caused quite a stir at Monaco, essentially debuting there. The second hull is expected to be named Perseus 3 and speaking of her, she should launch pretty soon...being different from her sisters in rig, taking a sloop rig.
Back to hull 3, she will be ketch rigged much like the first hull in the series, SeaHawk. She will bear Naval Architecture by Ron Holland Design and interestingly an interior by Michela Reverberi. While not many interior details have been released to date we imagine that she will provide accommodation for at least 10 guests. She is going to be a blue water sailer and her lifting keel is testament to that vision...
Horizon Launches Second unit in the RP110 motoryacht series
Horizon Group announced the launch of “Carnival Liberty 3,” hull two of the new RP110 raised pilothouse superyacht model. The luxury superyacht will make her debut at the 2014 Taiwan International Boat Show in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from May 8th-11th, and she is scheduled to deliver to her third-time Horizon owner in Japan this June. “We are excited to launch hull two of the Horizon RP110 superyacht, a model that has seen so much success already,” said Horizon CEO John Lu. “We have greatly enjoyed working with her experienced owner in bringing his vision to life; it is also an honor for us to debut ‘Carnival Liberty 3’ at the first boat show in our home country.”

Storm Yachts will soon launch the Storm X53 motoryacht
Storm Yachts is working on a number of yachts simultaneously. The popular S78 which for a while was their flagship is doing well. Now they have introduced the S-100 which is essentially a larger version of the 78-footer to cater to owners who may want more space and longer range. Of course they have the X53 which is going to launch pretty soon. The Storm X-53 packs a punch in many ways, synthesising all the assets of the Storm brand in sixteen mighty metres of motoryacht. The highly distinctive lines and profile come into their own in the X-53 design, while the FDFH hull shape guarantees a first class sailing performance that few if any yachts can offer in this size...
Admiral starts construction on 52-meter and 55-meter superyachts
Italian yacht manufacturer Admiral has started construction on two new superyachts with lengths of 52 and 55-meters respectively. Keel laying and the traditional ceremonies associated with them signalled the start of construction at the yard in Marina di Carrara. The two yachts are actually part of Admiral's new E Motion displacement series of superyachts with design by Dobroserdov Design along with Admiral's in-house design department, Centro Stile.
Even though the two yachts are from the E Motion series, they are actually quite different from each other in styling and layout. One glaring difference is at the bow. The 55-meter has the straighter but more conventional-looking bow while the 52-meter has a reverse type bow. The Admiral E Motion 55-meter superyacht is going to weigh in with a Gross Tonnage of 850 GRT and is expected to deliver a maximum speed of 17-knots...
SanLorenzo sells first SD126 megayacht
Italian builder SanLorenzo have completed the sale of the first unit in the new SD126 model. The sale was secured at the Miami Show in February. Designed by the usual Francesco Paszkowski, Project SD126-40 is already well underway in construction at the shipyard in Viareggio, Italy. She is expected to be delivered to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in October and will be displayed in the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show...
Nautor Swan sells third Swan 115' Flush Deck sailing yacht
Sail yacht manufacturer Nautor Swan continues on a good run with their latest bit of success, the sale of the third Swan 115-footer. Naval Architecture of the new yacht is by none-other-than German Frers. The second quarter of the year therefore has started well for this Finnish yacht manufacturer.
On the interior on the Swan 115 is light and airy with a flexible cabin layout. In fact, the master's cabin can be placed aft or forward according to how the owner wants it. Of course there are other cabins for guests, up to four cabins and accommodation for up to six crew members. The entire construction process of third Swan 115-foot is expected to take place all in-house at Nautor’s facilities in Pietarsaari. As per Swan's high standards, the yacht will be built from a female mould and of pure carbon materials (pre-preg)...
Feadship 57-meter Eidsgaard designed superyacht
Dutch custom superyacht builder Feadship is currently working on a 57-meter superyacht with a radical exterior design by Eidsgaard design. The new superyacht will certainly look different from the average but this is partly what full customization can bring. The new hull, YN810, was recently seen being towed to the Feadship yard on Kaag Island where of course she will be completed and launched.
The contract for this unique looking superyacht was signed back in May 2013 by an Edmiston client. With radical exterior styling by Eidsgaard Design, the yacht will be painstakingly built to the highest standard by the craftsmen at Feadship. Due for delivery in 2015, this 57-meter yacht will have accommodation for 12 guests in an owners stateroom and five additional guest cabins at main deck level, cared for by a crew of 15...
Nordhavn delivers N86 expedition yacht "Koonoona"
In the vein of the Nordhavn 120 delivery comes another transit of the South China Sea, this time by Nordhavn 86 "Koonoona". Like the trip undertaken by her famous big sister, Koonoona will set sail from the South Coast factory in Xiamen, China, to be delivered to her owner and will make a stop in Hong Kong. The trip will also be crewed by PAE staff including president Dan Streech, project manager Trever Smith, salesman Eric Leishman, as well as webmaster and graphic artist Doug Harlow, who will document the journey on nordhavn.com. And, just as was the case with the N120, Koonoona’s owners are repeat Nordhavn buyers; this owner, who hails from Asia, previously owned a Nordhavn 62.
The voyage, scheduled to commence April 30, is bound to be another exciting one for Nordhavn fans to follow, but despite the many similarities there are major differences between the two deliveries...
SanLorenzo launches SD112 motoryacht "O"
Italian yard SanLorenzo just launched the first hull in the new SD112 series -called "O"-. The series has already taken off with another six of them sold to date. The semi displacement series SanLorenzo offers starts from the SD92 and runs to the SD122. The SD112 sits nicely between the larger and the smaller end of the series.
On the interior, guests will be accommodated in five cabins. The Owner's suite is on the main deck while the main guest housing is on the lower deck fitted out with four cabins. There is cabin housing for seven crew members as well on the lower deck. The SD112 model will have a number of features seen on some of the other SanLorenzo models and other models from other Italian manufacturers.
One of these is the fold-down terrace or balcony outside of the main saloon...
ISA splashes 43-meter Granturismo megayacht "Philmi"
The Granturismo concept was presented to the yachting community in September 2011 at the Monaco Yacht Show and the contract for the construction of the first 43 meter GT was signed 6 months later, in March 2012 and is the second sale in the Granturismo range. The increase of dimensions allow to have exceptional internal volumes for a yacht of this size. Light is a major feature in the crisp interior design by Sandrine Melot. Two large skylights in the main saloon and the Owner cabin enhance the white and light grey decoration where plenty of leather by Foglizzo cover walls, ceilings and the Owner cabin's floor. Blohm+Voss delivers 82-meter superyacht "Graceful"
The eagerly anticipated yacht "GRACEFUL" has left her berth in Hamburg on Friday, April 18 after the shipyard successfully achieved a challenging 23 month completion programme. This stunning yacht joins an impressive lineage of truly iconic vessels from the renowned yard and currently ranks as the 67th largest yacht ever to be launched. Graceful was fitted out both inside and out by Blohm+Voss working alongside the owner's representatives under the lead of Capt. Alexander Mozhayskiy. 140-meter superyacht Project 'Victory' launches from Fincantieri
After the wide interest created by Fincantieri's first yacht, "Serene", it would be understandable that the second yacht, a lot larger, would cause a stir in the industry. The bated breath has now been released witht he launching of Fincantieri's second superyacht, the 140-meter Project 'Victory'. The contract for this gigantic superyacht was signed back in late 2009 with construction starting nearly in the last quarter of 2010.
Fast forward to the present time in April 2014, the drawings, models and renderings are now realized with the launching of the real superyacht. The yacht sprawls across seven decks. Hull 6218 has a floodable dock, large enough to host her nearly 15-meter main tender...
