    I have a 1998 42 post with tamd72p 430 HP. Looking for an engine computer/control unit. I have a new one ordered but looking to possibly keep a spare

    Do yourself a favour and use YF's Search function for Volvo issues. We've had a fun-bunch of those over the years.

    I have one off a 1999 tamd73. It attaches under the fuel filter. Not sure if same as 72, but I had it as a spare and then decided to go with Cummins and sold the running 73.

    I believe that will work. Would you be interested in selling it? I'm just looking to have a piece of mind that if my other computer quits I can still get it running.
