Measuring a modest 43.4M (142') long and 8.5M (28') wide, the newly launched m/y Status Quo is the fourth 43 M hull (hull 4) from Richmond Yachts. It can be assumed that she is the successor the 138' Status Quo (hull 2) built by the said Richmond yachts. According to the builder website, it is said that the 43M Status Quo was built for the owner of Richmond yachts and launched in early August.

The mainly composite three-deck semi displacement yacht was built to a design of Ward Setzer and the interior done by Pavlik. The Status Quo is a near sister to the previously launched and popular m/y Sun Chaser and so the arrangement will be similar.

In terms of accomodation, the Status Quo has an abundance of accomodation. They range from an expansive Master stateroom to the VIP room and then to four guest staterooms. There are also four cabins for the crew members. If the owner wishes, his master can accomodate a number of persons for his own entertainment purposes.

For full scale gathering and entertainment, there is the Main Saloon that comprises an impressive array of seating areas. These include large sofas and armchairs coupled with cocktail tables for the appropriate setting. Meanwhile the entertainment system features DVD player, Satilite reciever, and even VCR. However, the highlight is sure to be the broad 50'' plasma television.

The owner and guests can surely be pampered in the yacht's Dining Room which features a long custom-made mahogany table. It is large enough to seat 12 persons at a time. With this setup, the guests can eat in luxury with the wide array of cyrstal and china ware available.

In the realm of entertainment there is another area other than the main saloon that can be fitted for this purpose. On the main deck to the aft of the yacht there are comfortable seating arrangements with teak table complete with even a pop-down LCD. One deck above, in the same aft region, the aft Sky Lounge region features similar tables and seating including a wetbar. There is also another pop-down LCD on this region of the deck.

Capt Rick of Richmond said they had very good, quality traffic, was the best show he's been to at FLIBS. I'm sure we'll start hearing of sales soon.

Richmond Yachts connection to Spanish Cay in the Abacos is a great relationship.
