  1. 85-meter 'Silver LOFT' In Build At Silver Yachts
Australian based yacht manufacturer Silver Yachts (formerly Hanseatic Marine) has their largest build to-date under construction at the moment. She is presently termed 'Silver LOFT' although it is unclear whether that will be her finished name at launching. The design as well as utility of this vessel differs vastly from what we are accustomed to seeing from Silver Yachts. They build fast, sleek and stylish superyachts and this lofty offering takes their current build philosophy in the other direction.
  2. The Silver LOFT is actually a fast world explorer and as can be seen by her helipad on the aft main deck which doubles as storage for her three utility tenders, while the bow hosts additional tenders of a smaller variety. Perhaps you are wondering why the name Silver LOFT? The idea really comes from that aft upperdeck enclosed space. Take a look at the design and see the full height glazing wrapping all the way around. Accommodation is said to be for approximately 16 guests with a master suite, three VIP cabins on the upper deck and four other cabins on the lower deck. Accommodation is provided for the 21 crew members that will run this unique yacht. As for the design, Espen Oeino is the suspect and from a forward quarter view this yacht looks very reminiscent of a yacht called "Ronin". Is that where Espen received his inspiration? Performance will be from a pair of MTU 16V 4000 M73Ls. Top speed is anticipated to be in the region of 24-knots with an 18-knot cruising speed and a 5,000 nautical mile range. This yacht can be expected to be delivered to her owner in late 2017.
