What is the difference between Yachting Monthly and Yachting World magazines. I can't seem to find a description of each, but by looking at the covers I am guessing that Yachting World would cover more super yachts?

Does anyone read Yachting World? I am thinking about getting a subscription, keep a nice stack of them to flick through when I have some spare time to keep me motivated on my goal of one day purchasing a nice sized sailing yacht.

I went green. Not the ecological kind, but that too. Hard filtering the reality from the poetry. In spite of being the recipient of free subscriptions, my mainstream magazine of choice is YachtForums.com. You get the truth, the details, and the audience of tens of thousands to correct something that might be askew. No misstatement nor exaggeration slips by this bunch. Usual caveats do not apply - I continue to be totally impressed and biased by YF's offerings.

Thans for your reply Judy. The forum and information here s fantastic. But I would like some physical magazines, more for the pictures aspect than the articles.

Our reviews here at YF don't have enough (50+ when you include detail images) pictures for you?

The only reasons I see to keep print magazines:
    1) Something to read by candle-light when the power goes out and all device batteries have died...
    2) I don't like carrying my iPad to every room in the house. o_O

No reason why I can't look at the nice pictures in a magazine and also the pictures here ;) life isn't black amd white.

But I actually like flicking though magazines and looking at nice pictures. Far more comfortable for me than digitally. I am already currently spending a good % of my waking life on the Mac, iPhone or iPad.

I need to check out the reviews here. See if there are any new interesting ones for sailboats.

I would like to see a lot more pictures posted here of actual problems members ask about. It makes a thread more interesting and a picture can be worth a thousand words in diagnosing the problem.

That said part of the problem may be members don't know how to resize pictures quickly to the correct format/size.
