    Greetings,

I have an ownership stake in a 100' RPHMY and we would like to bring the yacht up to NYC. This will increase our current overhead cost and we would like to offset this a bit by listing for charter around Manhattan. There seems to be a dozen brokers in the city listing mostly the same boats. Does anyone have any experience with any of them and can make recomendations? Anyone to avoid?

    Thanks,
    Zeke

Not sure that you wouldn't be better going out to Sag or up to Newport. From Manhattan you'll be mostly doing the 4 hour trips around the harbor. DK if you're certified for 49+, but there's not a lot of multi day charters from that location. North is a nice ride, but not big charter destinations. South can get a bit bumpy and east is a long run to anywhere. Plus most in a position to charter 100' tend to leave the city for the summer. From Port Jefferson east you have a ton of good cruising destinations between Sag, Newport, Block, the Vineyard, Nantucket, Boston and the Cape (just to name a few). You might want to talk with Bruce Tait & Associates out in Sag Harbor.
