Yacht Berenice wreck

    Does anyone know what happened to the classic ketch Berenice (london)? Classic yacht mag (jan issue) has very graphic pictures of the wreck on a southern France beach but no detail, looks like a fairly recent accident

    What a shame... heartbreaking pictures.

    I just read that issue a few days ago. Those pics are terrible to see. I also am hoping someone on here has the details. What a shame. Very sad to see.

    Only other info I found is that she dragged anchor off Port grimaud, in a December storm, after having engine issues

    i sailed on berenice in 2005 from St Martin to the Azores and have life changing memories of the voyage .a sad sad tragedy for a beautiful lady of the seas,bon voyage Berenoce

    So sad to see wreck of the yacht Berenice My father rescued her just after the war from a mud birth in Essex and he restored her as a family yacht we had many memorable holidays onj her in the 50's and early 60's. I being the eldest of seven siblings
