This is a plea to all Boatbuilders.

When you fit wipers on a boat please add the make and size to the owners onboard file. It's a nightmare trying to figure out which make and model to replace some rusty old wiperblade or arm with.

On one range of boats made within a 3 year space there were 3 different manufacturers of wipers. It makes replaceing them a real guessing game.

Anyone else had a problem like this?

    Hi,

Put the desired brand in the build spec.

Production boatbuilders are a law unto themselves unfortunetly. Using Bosch US parts (made in South America or Mexico) on a European boat makes it all a little frustrating. Bummer.

    Hi,

Most boats are not "built to spec" and are bought used or as a production boat- so suggesting putting the desired brand in the build spec helps very few in these predominate circumstances.
