I've spent a lot of time lately preparing for life aboard a long-range yacht. In my research, I've come across two resources, other than YachtForums, that have greatly helped in my preparation. Both of these websites would benefit greatly from the wisdom and experince of the YachtForums community.

The first is WikiTravel and part of the Wikipedia family of websites. WikiTravel was named as one of TIME Magazine's 50 Best Websites of 2008. (On the Azores page, under Stay Safe, there is a post about Yachts being destroyed by the governments search for illegal drugs.) This website is in its infancy and there is an incredible opportunity to influence this website with your experience and knowledge.
