I've seen pictures (but with no information) of the pretty 1954-built yacht Istros in a dock in Valletta, Malta. She has been stripped of everything and from what one can tell she even looks as though she has been gutted internally. Does anyone know what is happening to her, is she undergoing some truly amazing rebuilding/refitting work, or has she come to the end of her career and is to be scrapped? The picture presented a very sad sight.

Seems she was bought in April for restoration after a false-start on previous works to bring her back.

Wow!! That was a quick response, thank you. Good to know that this lovely yacht will sail again.

"Istros" has been at Feadship for a while having a refit done and she has recently left the shed and put on a pontoon. One of the glaring changes appears to be the removal of tenders that were stored midships and having them on the bow now according to the rendering.
