Have a used 27 ft carver Montego. Water tank is full. cannot find how to get water to come out the faucets in the bathroom and the galley sink. Shower pump runs but nothing emits from the sprayer. Toilet does not wash down with water. Spigots at the galley sink do not run either. Suggestions?

Deckswapper, Welcome to YF. You've got the same thread started under 2 titles. See if you can delete one. BTW, same question as on the other. Did you turn on the fresh water pump?

    Hi,

This gives me the impression that there is a pump running. Not sure if there is some separate pump for the rest of the system though.

the "shower pump" is probably just the sump pump which pulls water from the shower sump and dunps it over board. check your fresh water pump and see if it runs. if it doens't run at all, it's an electrical problem, check for power at the pump, if you dont' have any check the the breaker/wiring. if you have power and the pump doens't start, bypass the pressure switch on the top of the pump (connect both wires).

if the pump runs but doens't build pressure, check for air leaks on the intake side, or depending on the pump model, age, etc... it may need to be rebuild.

find the pump and tell us what brand/model

On this boat you probably do not have a switch labled water pump (not shower or sump pump) on the panel. It's probably at the helm showing a rectangular box with a squiggle line running across it.

A little late to this party, but my '89 2557 Montego does have a water pump switch on the main board in the cabin. The water pump is beneath the aft cabin (also where the shower sump pump is located).
