Looking at a boat with TAMD 75EDC engines 2001
Can anyone tell me what to look for pros and cons, tell tale signs of poor performance. Anything really ! Not had this engine before.

This is Volvo seven liter series, which appeared in the eighties first as 306hp T70, then 355/480hp T71, then 430 T72/73/74, and then 480 as T74/75.
The Tamd75 EDC was its last variant.
The Tamd 74P as released up to 2003 is the same HP, although the 75 has a better torque curve.

The T74/75 is mostly found in British made boats thirteen to fourteen meters from the late nineties to the mid-nineties.
It took the place of the Cats 3208 or the 3126 which came in 420hp in 95.
Smaller lump and more economic to run, altough in bigger boats (15 tons plus) I would still prefer the 10 liters of the 3208s.

They are known to be good engines (have sold a dozen boats with them), and managed a couple with very little to no problems.
