  1. Viking to Launch a New 80-foot Motor Yacht!

Viking Yachts, long recognized as an industry leader, especially in sportfish convertible yachts, continues to break ground in the marine marketplace with the announcement of a new 80-foot tri-deck motor yacht. Slated to premiere in early 2007, this is the first American built Viking motoryacht in over a decade and will join their extensive line-up of successful sportfish yachts.
  2. The new 80' will have an open floor layout that is particularly inviting for entertaining, as well as living aboard for extended periods and long-range cruising. Making use of the yacht’s nearly 22-foot beam allows a purposeful flow from the teak-planked aft deck into the salon, past the dining room and into the country kitchen forward. This design creates four distinct gathering areas, allowing privacy and sociability.
  3. The main salon is fitted with a U-shaped lounge to port and a dedicated bar area to starboard with a sink, refrigerator and icemaker. Forward of the bar is the home theatre entertainment system conveniently viewed from the lounge. A dining area separates the salon from the galley, providing both a formal location for sit down meals, as well as the convenience of a country kitchen. The galley is L-shaped to maximize counter space and a large island in the center of the galley also includes abundant room for four bar stools. Forward is a U-shaped settee and table. The galley can be entered from port and starboard exterior doors on the main deck, which also provide fresh air with cross flow ventilation. In addition, these doors also make for easy boarding of supplies when the yacht is secured side-to a dock or finger pier.
  4. A spiral staircase leads below to the four staterooms, including the full-beam master suite, which includes a lounge, a dressing table, a walk-in hanging closet and a head with a shower and a bathtub. Each of the other three staterooms are complete with a private head and stall shower.
  5. The sky bridge, reached from either the salon or the aft deck, features a centerline helm, flanked by L-shaped companion seating. Abaft the helm is a wet bar and refrigerator opposite the portside lounge and cocktail table. The aft deck is equipped with controls to ease docking maneuvers and provides sufficient room to stow a dinghy, or can be used as an additional outdoor dining area.
  6. A complete custom installed navigation electronic package will be provided by Viking’s sister company, Atlantic Marine Electronics. Standard power is a pair of MTU Series 2000 V16 diesels.
