Here in the SE, Vikings are everywhere...….They really dominate the production SF market, the MY market you hardly see one of the Viking MY's.

100+ CC's on order, that's how you define a new product and enter a new to you market with already established players!

Taking full advantage of their sales network.

While I've never heard a boat show number I believed, I do believe Viking is doing a lot of things well. By comparison, Cabo would have been such a natural to introduce center consoles, but Hatteras probably will in a few years. Just makes sense for a SF builder.

From what I see, Hatteras' major focus seems to be on large motoryachts. But, the problem with building large motoryachts is you can only produce so many per year, whereas with 40' boats, you can pop them out like crazy.

Viking is doing an amazing job and the Valhallas sure are pretty boats. The Healey family knows how to build boats and they are definitely seeing their major investments through the years pay off. Well deserved.

When are you going to post more about your 42? I’ve only saw a short video of it on YouTube but have been following for more.

We will post when I have the proper content. We had an issue with our photographers schedule after the show and haven't had a chance to get professional photos done. I'm doing a full shoot next week and once we have that content we'll be posting a bunch on our build.

You have to hand it to Viking! They have survived and flourished as other Jersey boat builders have folded.
I have a 48' Viking on my wish list!

Anybody saw the Dockwalk article about viking cancelling their 90+ boats because of new exhaust regulations? Loosing millions in RD costs.

I haven’t read the article but have read many others and PR from Viking expressing this concern. Curious how Hatteras will be handling their range of 90+.

Hatteras is only building MY's in that size and their engine rooms have a lot more ceiling height above the engines and room behind them. Viking is only building SF in that size and the Engine room ceiling is very close to the engines not leaving room.

I just bought a low hours 2018 Viking 48C---it is absolutely a fantastic yacht!! The fit and finish, the layout, and the systems are perfect! We can't wait to take the trip down the ICW to Florida!! This is really a dream come true boat! I have gone to so many boat shows and been on a number of Vikings---and finally made the decision to buy one. Will post as we go down the ICW and share my experiences with all of you--as it was not long ago I was a dreamer too!!!!!! But now my dream came true!!!!!!!

Should be a really nice trip although getting a little late in the season depending on when you leave in October. The ICW is beautiful and there are a lot of nice stops along the way. No issues with anything as far as marina's go, fresh water on the docks or any of that, but might start getting chilly on the bridge........

I think their 48C is an incredible boat with all they fit in a 48' boat.
