Does anyone know what the "Air Draft is on a 1991 Viking 63. With full Fuel Tanks and no Radar arch will it fit under the 19' 6" Chicago bridge?
If you take of the Bridge (5-bolts on each side) you will have 18ft 9in air draft with full water (120gal), waste (60gal), fuel primary (1070gal) and alternate (250) fuel tank. That is 1400 gal total at 8lbs a gallon. So if your vessel has less capacity, multiple the total less gallons by 8lbs per gallon and figure about half an inch per 500gal less capacity. Taking off the bridge will require four people to do it safely. Best of luck.
Thanks Nevin! My 63 has a fold-able rear arch so I should be fine with full fuel ,water and tender for the Chicago bridge. Cheers Anthony Hall
